A set of two side pouches in M05 Finnish Woodland Camo, intended for the Varjelus vest. The pouches are designed for carrying FDF M17 Cut ballistic panels measuring 22.5 x 14 cm. The set includes two pouches (for the left and right side). They are attached to the cummerbund panels using hook-to-loop tape.
Ballistic panels are not included in the set.
durable 500D Cordura, NIR technology
The pouch is made of 500D Cordura, characterised by very good resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The dense weave of the fabric increases its durability and reduces susceptibility to tearing during intensive use. The structure of the fabric also supports easy cleaning and limited moisture absorption, which is important during work in changing weather conditions. The side adjacent to the body is made of Cordura Comfort, which improves wearing comfort and reduces the risk of irritation during prolonged use. The use of NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) technology reduces detection by image intensifiers (night vision devices).
Compatibility with ballistic inserts
The pouches are adapted for carrying soft ballistic panels in FDF M17 cut measuring 22.5 × 14 cm and with NIJ IIIA protection level. In addition, they are equipped with special openings that allow cable routing. This makes it easier to organise cables from communication systems, electronic devices or other equipment mounted on the vest.
hook-to-loop system
The hook-to-loop mounting system enables stable attachment of the pouches to the cummerbund strap of the Varjelus vest. This solution makes it easier to match side protection to an individual accouterment configuration and also allows the pouches to be detached quickly when needed.

M05 camouflage
M05 camouflage (Finnish: M05 Maastokuvio) is a family of pixelated camouflage patterns introduced into the Finnish Armed Forces in 2005 as the successor to the M91 pattern. It was developed on the basis of digital analysis of photographs of Finnish forests, taken in different seasons by the Finnish Forest Research Institute. The M05 family includes several variants, including woodland, snow and cold weather.
The main woodland version of M05 consists of patches in light green, dark green, brown and dark graphite, which effectively replicate the structure of Finnish forests. Thanks to similar vegetation and terrain conditions, M05 Woodland camouflage also performs well in the forests of Central and Eastern Europe, providing effective concealment in natural surroundings.
