The saw blade is fantastic. Incredibly sharp. I recommend using gloves, because one wrong move and it can be a disaster. Great steel. I used the previous one on trips and it lasted about 4 years until I broke its teeth. Highly recommended.
Replacement blade designed for the Silky Gomboy 240-10 saw, crafted from Japanese premium-grade steel. Enhanced with an added chrome coating, this blade is shielded against corrosion, tree sap, resin, and other detrimental environmental influences.
The cutting edge boasts a combination of hardness, durability, and flexibility, minimizing the risk of damage during use. Impulse-hardened teeth provide exceptional longevity and are set in four different planes. Precision sharpening ensures a polished surface, so the saw glides smoothly without binding.
Equipped with 10 teeth per 30 mm of blade, the cutting edge features a unique hourglass cross-section, delivering clean cuts free of splintered edges. An upward-angled tooth efficiently removes chips, speeding up the process. MIRAI-ME patented technology supports versatile cutting on three axes: crosswise, lengthwise, and diagonally.
Store the blade in a dry, clean location to maintain optimal condition.

Silky is a Japanese brand of hand saws, founded in 1919 in Ono by Katsuji Miyawaki. For over a hundred years, it has been considered synonymous with precision and reliability, and its saws are distinguished by their high quality. They are made of the highest quality cutlery steel, subjected to impulse hardening technology, and designed for “pull” cutting, which allows for light work and smooth cuts in wood. In 1980, the brand patented its own saw setting process, which significantly improves the sharpness of the teeth; the technology was used in models such as the 4-Retsume and Miraime2. Silky models are used by arborists, foresters, carpenters, and bushcraft enthusiasts around the world. An interesting fact is that the 1985 Silky “Gomboy” saw was the first on the market to have a rubber-coated handle, which distinguished it in the industry and earned it the prestigious Good Design Award in Japan. Thanks to the combination of Japanese craftsmanship and modern technology, Silky has been setting the highest standards in the hand saw segment for decades.
