Laser-cut replacement blade for the Silky Katanaboy 500-5 saw. Manufactured from highest-quality Japanese steel known for its superior abrasion resistance. Enhanced with a nickel coating to extend the overall blade lifespan.

Thanks to a high carbon content, the cutting edge is exceptionally hard and long-wearing. The blade incorporates a softer metal core to provide necessary flexibility and minimize risk of breakage during use.

Equipped with four precision-ground cutting surfaces on each tooth, sharpened in both directions. The meticulous sharpening process delivers an ultra-smooth finish, greatly reducing the chance of the blade binding during operation. As the teeth are not induction-hardened, they can be resharpened with a file (for best results, use a dedicated Silky saw file).

Features 5 teeth per 30 mm of blade.

Store the blade in a clean and dry location.

Silky is a Japanese brand of hand saws, founded in 1919 in Ono by Katsuji Miyawaki. For over a hundred years, it has been considered synonymous with precision and reliability, and its saws are distinguished by their high quality. They are made of the highest quality cutlery steel, subjected to impulse hardening technology, and designed for “pull” cutting, which allows for light work and smooth cuts in wood. In 1980, the brand patented its own saw setting process, which significantly improves the sharpness of the teeth; the technology was used in models such as the 4-Retsume and Miraime2. Silky models are used by arborists, foresters, carpenters, and bushcraft enthusiasts around the world. An interesting fact is that the 1985 Silky “Gomboy” saw was the first on the market to have a rubber-coated handle, which distinguished it in the industry and earned it the prestigious Good Design Award in Japan. Thanks to the combination of Japanese craftsmanship and modern technology, Silky has been setting the highest standards in the hand saw segment for decades.
