Rotary dial, 3 scale sliders

The compass features a base plate constructed from transparent acrylic, ensuring durability and clear visibility. Non-slip elements on the plate provide secure adherence to maps. The unit includes a rotating dial with a corrugated grip, marked with a mile scale and offering a full 360-degree range for accurate navigation. Included are three double-sided scale sliders, allowing users to select between four scales: 1:40000, 1:25000, 1:50000, and 1:24000. Thanks to its waterproof design, the compass remains reliable and fully operational even in harsh weather conditions.

Sapphire bearing needle

Crafted from premium Swedish steel known for its outstanding magnetic qualities, the needle guarantees accurate readings. Positioned on a sapphire bearing for seamless rotation and high precision, it ensures operational reliability. A clearly marked north indicator enables rapid orientation and navigation decisions. The needle remains stabilized within a specially formulated liquid.

    I have all map compasses from Silva, I've never been disappointed with them. All the additions on the ruler are necessary for quick work with the map, and as a plus, an interesting idea is the scale on the lanyard. Similar to the Silva Expedition, which I also own, the only real difference is in the compass scale housing.
