Operating temperature ranges for the Softie Elite 3 sleeping bag are specified according to the EN 13537 standard:

• T-comfort: -5 deg. C – minimum temperature at which a woman can expect a comfortable night's sleep.
• T-extreme: -10 deg. C – lowest limit at which survival is attainable in the sleeping bag. Use in these conditions is not advised for regular operations.

The external shell of the sleeping bag utilizes Paratex Micro fabric, offering excellent protection against wind and superior moisture resistance due to its DWR impregnation (Durable Water Repellency). This treatment ensures that even on damp mornings in the field, dew forms on the sleeping bag’s surface rather than penetrating and soaking through. The interior lining is crafted from a blend of Paratex Light and Reflectatherm materials. Paratex Light stands out for its soft texture, exceptional windproof qualities, and impressive breathability of 12l/m2/24h. Enhanced breathability efficiently manages internal moisture generated from body heat in cold environments. Reflectatherm is a metallized fabric engineered to reflect body heat back inside, effectively increasing thermal retention by 15%.

A reinforced material section is located within the foot area of the sleeping bag, enhancing insulation and enabling users to sleep with footwear without risking damage to the bag. Additionally, two integrated loops provide convenient options for hanging and airing out the sleeping bag.

Filled with Softie insulation, the sleeping bag ensures excellent heat retention, even in damp conditions, while its soft texture delivers a comfortable feel. Equipped with a practical compression sack featuring a snap buckle, the sleeping bag remains secure during transport and is shielded from dirt and potential damage.

Featuring a thermal insulation coefficient of R-Value 3.6, as measured according to the ASTM F3340-18 standard, the model offers excellent ground insulation. A higher R-Value correlates with improved heat retention and minimization of heat loss.

R-Value classifications widely recognized in the outdoor sector provide guidance on intended usage scenarios:
