Compact survival-tactical knife featuring rugged Full-Tang construction, where the tang extends the full length of the handle for added strength.

The blade has a Clip-Point profile and is crafted from hard, wear-resistant 7Cr17MoV stainless steel. Featuring a hollow grind, the blade is hardened to 54–58 HRC. A satin finish helps to minimize visible scratches and usage marks. The spine incorporates notches (jimping) to provide a secure thumb rest.

The tang is housed in a TPR handle with a textured, non-slip grip and toothed end that functions as a glass breaker or scraper.

A robust nylon sheath reinforced with fiberglass ensures safe and convenient carry on a belt, backpack, or webbing. The sheath includes a blade for cutting cords and straps without removing the knife.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools is an American brand founded in 1986 by Spencer Fraser, inspired by the MACV-SOG knife used by special forces during the Vietnam War. The first S1 Bowie model was created in collaboration with Japanese master blacksmith Ichiro Hattori and became an icon among tactical knives. SOG gained recognition with the SEAL 2000 model, which was adopted by the Navy SEALs and is now on display at the Navy SEALs museum in Fort Pierce. The brand also offers advanced multitools that use patented Compound Leverage technology, which nearly doubles the pressure of the pliers thanks to double pivot points. SOG products are characterized by their solid construction, precision workmanship, and are designed for both professionals and outdoor enthusiasts. Today, SOG tools are manufactured primarily in the US and Taiwan, continuing a tradition of quality and reliability.

A very nice full tang knife, with appropriate durability and versatility, well-sharpened, fits well in the hand, good fit and finish. I highly recommend it, I really liked it.

Bought for the forest and as part of equipment for the fire department, it works well, holds sharpness, and a big plus for the cutter with access to the blade in the sheath. This way, the cutter is always as sharp as the knife and can be sharpened just like any other knife. The sheath and mounting options do their job, and the knife itself is easy to grip and fits well in the hand.

First SOG in my collection. Comfortable grip, decent sharpness, solid sheath. The strap-cutting blade is not built into the sheath as described. If needed, it’s still faster to just take the knife out than to remove the sheath from your belt. I'm satisfied with the purchase.

My first SOG. Sharp, well-designed handle, and not heavy. Cutting seatbelts with the knife in the sheath is problematic in my opinion because you would have to remove the knife from your belt, while it’s faster to just draw the knife and cut the belts.

Great knife, the handle fits well in the hand, it's not made of stiff plastic but rather hard rubber, which improves grip. The blade steel is great for me. The hardness is similar to Victorinox steel, so it holds sharpness fairly well, isn't brittle, and doesn't need 'space age' sharpeners.

The steel may not be the best, but as a knife for someone starting out who is learning to sharpen, it's a great option. Comfortable, a good sheath, and the steel is perfectly fine for learning.
