The product was delivered. Instead of putting so much effort into the packaging, it would have been better to focus on the actual product. The magnetic packaging is, in my opinion, an unnecessary gimmick, although at first glance it gives hope. After unpacking, you get an item made of thin sheet metal, which does not give the impression of being solid. The blade jams and does not open smoothly – gently prying it helps. The locking mechanism works rough, you have to force it. The screws are very tightly fastened, making it difficult to adjust anything for better operation. For this price, the first impression is rather disappointing. We’ll see how it performs in everyday use.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools is an American brand founded in 1986 by Spencer Fraser, inspired by the MACV-SOG knife used by special forces during the Vietnam War. The first S1 Bowie model was created in collaboration with Japanese master blacksmith Ichiro Hattori and became an icon among tactical knives. SOG gained recognition with the SEAL 2000 model, which was adopted by the Navy SEALs and is now on display at the Navy SEALs museum in Fort Pierce. The brand also offers advanced multitools that use patented Compound Leverage technology, which nearly doubles the pressure of the pliers thanks to double pivot points. SOG products are characterized by their solid construction, precision workmanship, and are designed for both professionals and outdoor enthusiasts. Today, SOG tools are manufactured primarily in the US and Taiwan, continuing a tradition of quality and reliability.

Interesting design, definitely worth testing because it is a tool somewhat different from the most popular ones on the market. The blade is quite large and practical. The whole thing is quite solid.

I have mixed feelings. I bought it encouraged by the quality and opening system of the SOG Terminus, as well as the patents for the assisted pliers and bit mount on the SOG PowerAccess. The Black Week price also mattered — 303 PLN minus 36 PLN for KSK. In total, 267 PLN. And that's the absolute maximum it's worth. The regular price of 380 PLN is a mistake. One by one – the idea for assisted pliers and an assisted D2 blade in a small form is very good. The execution? Not so much. First, the assisted blade was very hard to open. I rubbed my thumb raw on the stud. Then suddenly the blade started to release just by unlocking the lock! Instead of power assist I now have a spring-loaded knife!!! I thought about returning it, but the lock holds firmly, it won't open by itself, so I have a Sicilian knife in my multitool :) Another drawback is the bit holder. It's a disaster. You can't remove the bit without bending the plastic housing. It's good that the housing is flexible. It's a rather flimsy solution. And the last downside – the bottle opener. It opens too easily and folds in too easily. Far too easy, too light. In summary, I do not recommend the SOG Flash MT.
