Lightweight and compact, this folding knife is crafted for practical EDC (Every Day Carry) use. Due to legal restrictions in some countries against locking or assisted-opening knives that allow one-handed deployment, the manufacturer developed the Terminus SJ model. The blade stays open through the action of a spring mechanism and requires exertion of force to fold it closed.
Featuring a Clip-Point profile, the blade is forged from CPM S35VN stainless steel, renowned for its high resistance to corrosion, superior edge retention, simpler sharpening compared to S30V, and enhanced chip resistance due to its finer grain. The blade has a flat grind, is hardened to 59-61 HRC, and the steel was thermally treated according to SOG's distinct low-temperature protocols. For added durability and protection, the blade comes with a gold titanium nitride (TiNi) coating that resists scratches, protects against corrosion, and minimizes reflections.
Dual nail nicks make opening straightforward. Pronounced jimping on the spine offers a stable thumb rest during use, while the Slip Joint lock safeguards against unintentional closure.
The handle is fitted with textured G10 laminate and carbon fiber scales, providing a secure and reliable hold in all environments. Everyday portability is further supported by a flexible steel clip, which can be attached to either side for left- or right-handed carry.
