Lightweight and compact folding knife engineered for daily EDC (Every Day Carry). Certain countries impose restrictions on knives featuring locking systems or mechanisms enabling rapid one-handed blade deployment. Addressing these legal requirements, the manufacturer developed the Terminus SJ model. A spring mechanism secures the blade in the open position, requiring deliberate pressure to close the blade.
A Clip-Point style blade crafted from CRYO D2 tool steel delivers exceptional resistance to dulling and mechanical wear. The flat-ground blade is hardened to 60-63 HRC, with heat treatment conducted according to SOG's proprietary low-temperature process. The blade is strengthened with a black titanium nitride (TiNi) coating that resists scratching, shields against corrosion, and minimizes reflections.
The blade opens via an ambidextrous nail nick. Jimping on the blade's spine provides enhanced thumb traction during operation, and the Slip Joint lock safeguards against unintended blade closure.
Handle scales are constructed from textured G10 laminate, offering secure grip in any environment. Everyday portability is ensured with a flexible steel clip attachable on either side to accommodate both left- and right-handed users.
