I’ve had them for a short time and so far I’m very satisfied. What I like most is that you don’t have to take them off all the time to have a normal conversation. The earmuffs are comfortable, nothing presses or rubs, and the build quality is really solid. Money well spent, especially if someone often uses hearing protectors at work — in my case, heavy industry.

Sordin Supreme X2 Gel Headband Active Hearing Protectors - Black
Engineered for uniformed personnel and shooting sports enthusiasts, professional active hearing protectors deliver reliable performance in both operational and training environments. Crafted with high-quality materials and featuring a low-profile design, they ensure exceptional comfort during extended wear. Compliant with the European Single Number Rating (SNR) standard for sound reduction, these protectors achieve attenuation at a level of SNR 29 dB.
SordinHEAR2 Sound System, two microphones
The SordinHEAR2 audio system delivers outstanding sound clarity and features four distinct audio profiles (Hunter, Shooter, Focus, and Ambient off). Equipped with two waterproof omnidirectional microphones optimized for high frequencies, it precisely picks up ambient noise and relays it to the integrated speakers. Dangerous noise levels are suppressed to a secure 82 dB threshold, while quieter sounds are enhanced.
Profiled headband, Step adjustment system, large buttons
The contoured headband is constructed from a combination of plastic and steel. With a step adjustment system, users can precisely tailor the fit of the protectors to their individual needs, while the foldable structure ensures convenient portability and compact storage. Outfitted with gel cushions, these earmuffs provide enhanced comfort during use. Large, easily reachable function buttons enable straightforward operation even when wearing tactical gloves or in adverse weather conditions. Designed to accommodate both right- and left-handed marksmen.
Battery power, low battery indicator, automatic shutdown
Powered by either a standard AA battery or a Sordin Power 14500 rechargeable cell, the model delivers a runtime of up to approximately 400 hours. Battery replacement is straightforward, requiring only the unscrewing of the cover located on the side of one cup. Integration of a low battery warning system alerts users when remaining power covers about 40 hours of use, complemented by an auto shut-off feature after 4 hours of inactivity.
AUX audio input
Featuring a 3.5 mm AUX audio input, the protectors can be connected to external devices such as a transceiver or a mobile phone.
Standards and certifications
The Sordin Supreme X2 Headband version complies with the following standards:
- SNR 29 dB – rated attenuation level according to the European SNR (Single Number Rating), which specifies the anticipated degree of noise reduction in standard occupational environments.
- IP68 – sealing rating for the battery and microphone compartments, ensuring total protection against dust penetration and water immersion resistance up to 2 meters for 30 minutes.
- EN 352-1:2020 – specifies the criteria for ear-mounted hearing protection, irrespective of electronic capabilities. Validates the noise attenuation efficiency of both passive and active ear defenders.
- EN 352-4:2020 – relates to devices with sound level-dependent features. Guarantees that microphones and internal systems accurately amplify low-level sounds while filtering out hazardous noise.
- EN 352-6:2020 – pertains to protectors equipped with audio input. Confirms that sound transmitted from external devices (such as phones or radios) is kept within safe volume thresholds.
- MIL-STD 810 – a United States military specification outlining testing protocols to assess durability of equipment under extreme environmental conditions, including vibration, impact, moisture, dust, freezing, and elevated temperatures.
- Military Standard MIL-STD-461 – American military standard establishing the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electronic equipment, confirming resilience against as well as limited emission of electromagnetic disturbances.
- ANSI S3.19-1974 – provides the laboratory test procedure for determining the noise reduction capability of hearing protection devices like earmuffs or earplugs.
- RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) – guarantees the product does not contain hazardous materials such as lead, cadmium, or mercury.
- WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) – ensures adherence to EU directives regarding the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic goods.

RoHS
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) certification means that the device complies with the European Union directive limiting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The device contains no or only trace amounts of six substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). RoHS certification aims to reduce the impact of these substances on human health and the environment.
RFI (Radio Frequency Interference)
Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) protection involves reducing the impact of electromagnetic interference on the operation of electronic devices and communication systems. In hearing protectors with electronics-such as active shooting ear pieces or communication sets, this interference can affect sound quality, cause crackling, noise or even interfere with voice transmission. To prevent this, manufacturers use shielding of electronic components, proper filtering of signals and design of systems in accordance with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards. As a result, hearing protectors maintain stable performance even when surrounded by strong RF sources, such as communications equipment, radar systems and military equipment.
SordinHEAR2
SordinHEAR2 is an advanced sound system developed by Sordin, integrated with the Supreme Pro-X series of hearing protectors. It allows you to choose from four audio profiles: Hunting, Shooting, Comms and Focus, tailored to various scenarios - from hunting to shooting training to radio communications. The system provides accurate reproduction of ambient sounds, improving situational awareness and comfort. Profiles are changed via buttons on the ear cup.
SordinFLEX
Sordin FLEX is a modular platform that allows quick and tool-free adjustment of hearing protectors to different wearing styles and applications, increasing their functionality and versatility in the field.

Very comfortable ear defenders with well-fitting gel ear cushions. They effectively dampen loud sounds while still allowing you to hear your surroundings normally. Solid build quality and high comfort even during longer use. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Very good protectors. I switched from a cheaper model and the difference is noticeable right away. The ambient sounds are clear and sound natural, while gunshots are effectively muffled. The biggest advantage is the gel cushions, because even after a long period of wearing, nothing presses, and you can easily use them together with glasses. The build quality also makes a very good impression. The price is high, but in my opinion, it is worth the quality.

These headphones are exceptionally comfortable to wear—they are light and do not cause any pressure or discomfort. Thanks to the gel ear pads, using them is pure pleasure: they are soft, very comfortable, and provide great comfort. I have used them for many hours on various occasions and I can honestly say they are never bothersome. The sound quality is also at a very high level—very close to natural and realistic sound. Militaria offered the best price I could find, including shipping to other European countries!

I am very disappointed – despite the wide range of available 'shooting' features, the main task, which is suppressing the noise of gunshots, is only partially fulfilled. They perform much worse than the Peltor 540 model, which costs much less. They are indeed comfortable, but for me completely useless. I'll give them to someone else. It's a shame that some reviews even recommend additionally using earplugs – that's really disappointing.

The headphones work perfectly with gel ear pads, creating a tight yet comfortable fit without any discomfort or pressure. The sound is of excellent quality, free from noise, crackling, or other disturbances. The noise reduction system works smoothly and is very comfortable, not aggressive. Shooting with these headphones is really a pleasant experience. Additionally, the store offers the best price I found among European sellers with the option of international shipping.
