Disaster, this knife is terrible. I give a star only because the blade is sharp. The handle feels extremely cheap and made from the lowest quality plastic. It should cost 50 PLN, not over 200. The knife arrived in a torn package - it looks like someone had already returned it. I’m returning it today... I hope this review is not deleted even though it is negative.
Lightweight everyday carry folder designed for EDC use. All Byrd knives are distinctively named and shaped after various bird species.
The drop point blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, known for its ease of sharpening, strong edge retention, and impressive corrosion resistance. Featuring a full flat grind, the blade includes a thumb hole for effortless opening with either hand.
Handle scales are ergonomically shaped from injection-molded FRN material (fiberglass-reinforced nylon), offering a secure, non-slip grip. The construction is reinforced with torx screws.
Jimping along the spine offers reliable thumb placement for controlled, precision work. The robust back-lock mechanism keeps the blade securely open. The lock’s release lever boasts an oval cut-out, preventing accidental disengagement even under a strong grip.
A springy, reversible clip (4 positions) on the handle enables convenient attachment to a belt or pocket edge for comfortable daily carry. A lanyard hole at the rear accommodates a security lanyard to help prevent loss.

Spyderco is an American company based in Golden, Colorado, founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. The brand's origins are linked to the invention of the “Portable Hand,” which gave rise to the company's name, and in 1978, the innovative Tri-Angle Sharpmaker® was introduced. The breakthrough came in 1981 with the launch of the C01 Worker knife - the world's first model with a carrying clip, the distinctive Spyderhole opening, and the serrated SpyderEdge blade. Spyderco was also a pioneer in the use of new materials, being the first to introduce CPM S60V powder steel and H-1 stainless steel, designed for use in marine environments. For years, the brand has been collaborating with renowned knifemakers, including Al Mar, Ernest Emerson, and Marcin Slysz, creating unique models that have gained iconic status. The stylized spider logo symbolizes both the company's origins and Spyderco's values: precision, innovation, and high performance.

After the Byrd Cara Cara 2 folder, it was time for this one. Very well made. At a good price, you get a solid folder. I recommend both the equipment and the store.
