I replaced the original latch on one of my carbines with this one. It is much more convenient to reload with the left hand using it. It fits perfectly and looks very nice.

When replacing, remember that when you knock out the pin, the spring will shoot out - don't ask me how I know ;) The workmanship is very good and I honestly recommend it as a nice touch.
