The quality of workmanship and attention to detail are really at a high level. The shotgun makes a visual impression, you can immediately see that this is good equipment :) If someone wants to shoot and have a good time as well as a psychological advantage against an uninvited guest, I recommend it ;)
T4E HDX 68 .68 RAM CO2 Shotgun
RAM shotgun chambered for .68 caliber rounds, over 17 mm in diameter. Engineered for tactical exercises, it also excels in recreational shooting and personal protection. The shotgun delivers rounds with 16 J of kinetic energy, allowing for license-free ownership. Metal components include the barrel, receiver, magazine, trigger assembly, muzzle device, and iron sights. The handguard, pistol grip, and stock are constructed from robust polymer.
CO2 powered, quick capsule piercing system
Powered by two standard 12 g CO2 cartridges, the rifle utilizes a metal adapter that functions both as a mount for the capsules and as a receiver extension. Featuring a quick capsule piercing system, the CO2 cartridges are placed into the adapter but remain unpierced until the button on the butt plate is pressed. This mechanism enables the shotgun to be stored loaded and immediately ready for action when needed. An indicator above the pistol grip displays when the capsule has been pierced. The shotgun delivers fired pellets with an initial velocity of 105 m/s.
Application, ammunition, and magazine capacity
The shotgun enables firing both standard rubber projectiles as well as pepper and powder rounds. With this versatility, the HDX serves as an excellent option for training law enforcement, security professionals, civilian self-defense, and for recreational shooting. The tubular magazine positioned beneath the barrel accommodates 16 rounds of .68 caliber ammunition.
Pump-action reloading, safety, and ergonomics
The HDX features a highly realistic pump action reloading mechanism, inspired by authentic shotguns. The characteristic pump motion enables rapid reloading and delivers a swift rate of fire. Equipped with a spring-loaded safety, the system helps prevent unintentional firing. A rugged, non-slip texture on both the foregrip and pistol grip guarantees a secure and stable handling experience.
Accessory rails
A long top Picatinny rail provides the option to mount a collimator or traditional aiming optics. By default, the equipment features a fiber optic front sight for improved target acquisition in low-light environments and a rear sight adjustable in both windage and elevation. Additional tactical accessories, including a flashlight or laser sight, can be attached either to the handguard using the M-LOK system or on the lower 22 mm RIS rail.

It looks great, really a good replica of a smoothbore weapon. Very well-made, the materials and weight give a very solid impression. It works especially well for dynamic training, and regarding self-defense... with the right ammunition and use, it could be useful. Besides, its appearance alone might help.

The product is definitely worth its "promotional" price. Great fun. Tested from a distance of about 10m, high accuracy. I definitely recommend it, especially in the promotional offer.

A very realistic shotgun, although it is more for fun than for actual self-defense use. Made without any reservations, and also quite accurate. A nice alternative for long gun training. I recommend it.

Oh, and one more thing regarding loading the balls, which in the classic version is quite troublesome and requires experience and patience. Several times I decided to load the HDX from the other side… The shotgun has a cap for the ball magazine under the muzzle, in case you need to unload the shotgun without firing shots. But you can also use it for the loading process. After completely unscrewing the cap, you can remove the long spring and the orange pusher, load the balls—or even just pour them in, as it's so easy to do—and then put the pusher and spring back in, and screw everything back together. These steps also require some practice, especially squeezing the spring onto the pusher before placing it in the magazine, but for me, this alternative method is starting to surpass classic loading through the chamber. It's quicker and less nerve-wracking. I think with frozen hands it would also work, which wasn't possible when loading through the chamber. You just need to be careful that the spring doesn't get tangled because it's long and it could be difficult to untangle.

I have already done some shooting (RUB68 3.01g rubber balls) and the overall impression is very good, although there are a few "buts". 1) Instead of the front sight-rear sight set, it is much better and more enjoyable to use a collimator or laser sight – both worked perfectly. However, the factory mechanical sights require a lot of precision and time, which was not very convenient or effective for dynamic shooting. 2) The power and accuracy of the shotgun at a few to a dozen meters is great, but unfortunately, at 20 and 30 meters, it is clearly weaker. 3) Loading the balls is quite time-consuming and requires practice. Frozen hands and stiff fingers made the whole process very difficult and eventually made it impossible to continue shooting. The loading gadget from the set was helpful, but even with it, you need to get comfortable before it really starts to help. PLB68 polymer balls load quite smoothly with this gadget, but without it, it's almost impossible because the balls, lacking roughness, slip to the sides and are hard to press into the magazine with a finger ;) 4) There is also a cap used to tighten and loosen the screw in the CO2 tube, which constantly falls to the ground every time you change the cartridge... Despite everything, I give it 5/5.

I have just received the package. As usual with Militaria – delivery was fast and trouble-free. First impressions after unpacking – the look of the equipment, weight, workmanship – excellent. The shotgun feels very good in the hands. Aiming, however, requires some getting used to and takes a moment. The front/rear sight set will be good for calm shooting, but for quick aiming I think a laser sight or red dot sight will be better. I was also considering the P2P version instead of the T4E because it is a bit cheaper but at first I couldn't tell the difference. Now I know that P2P means orange color associated with self-defense equipment and T4E is black – training and recreational equipment. Photos don't show this, but you can catch it in the description. Technically the same apart from the color. Other Umarex devices are named this way too – for example, the HDR revolver comes as both P2P and T4E. Now this shotgun is at an excellent price (after discount). If you add KSK points, it becomes really interesting. I will describe my shooting impressions soon.

Really nice shotgun! Heavy, well-made, very powerful! Huge advantages are the ability to carry loaded CO2 cartridges, ready to be pierced just before shooting, and the adjustable rear sight in both planes. Accuracy with rubber bullets at around 20 meters is flawless. Three minor downsides: several jams with rubber-metal police bullets (rubber and polymer work fine), trigger action requires getting used to, and the way of loading bullets is quite inconvenient, but the last two can be gotten used to ;)

A very nice option for people looking for something for tactical training and at the same time for self-defense. I know that RAM products arouse a lot of controversy, but a potential attacker might back off just hearing the reloading.

It’s a nice thing, but I found it cheaper elsewhere and 400 less is a lot—enough to buy a few extra accessories that might come in handy, not to mention additional ammunition or CO2 cartridges.

It's great to have this at home, shoots excellently, and if it ever needs to be used for something other than fun, it will definitely get the job done.
