I have had some experience with replica firearms. I have the impression that this one from Umarex turned out exceptionally well. It is definitely better than the Walther PPK air gun and even better than the adult-sized blank-firing Colt 1911 Napoleon (although maybe I should wait 20 years before giving my opinion). Minus: For some unknown reason, it fits better in the left hand than in the right, but maybe that's just anatomy. Plus: With the cartridge and magazine, it weighs almost as much as the original. If you want to recreate the realism of shooting by socialist militiamen, that's quite important. It also dispels all literary descriptions of slipping a Makarov into your pocket (after all, it's a concealed-carry weapon). You can put it in your pocket, but the chances are quite high that after a few steps, the Makarov will also pull your pants down.

Very nice air gun. Several people write that the slide is loose and it’s true, so the front sight at the end of the slide also changes its aim. You just need to take off the slide, and there is an aluminum element resembling a can tab where the barrel sits, wrap twine on the left or right side of the eyelet to eliminate the wobble. Other than that, it fits well in the hand and shoots nicely.

A beautiful replica of the legendary pistol. The materials used and the workmanship are flawless. Due to its compact size, it fits in the hand only moderately well, but shooting it is still enjoyable. Accuracy at about 10 meters is satisfactory, and when shooting, it feels like the air gun has a lot of power. Definitely a replica worth its price.

There are different opinions here and I will say this... I have two. The original Baikal doesn't fall short in any way. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, a very pleasant surprise.

Very well-made air gun, heavy and accurate. I recommend it.

A VERY, very solid pistol. Armored, indestructible, VERY ACCURATE (provided you shoot in SA mode - in DA you need some practice not to jerk the shots). I was tempted by the version with BlowBack, but didn’t go for it. And there is also the option of the more expensive version made by Baikal - obviously, it can’t be worse, but here, in the Umarex version, it’s really OK - five stars.

Accurate air gun, fits pleasantly in the hand, a bit hard to load the CO2 capsule at first. It has slightly too much play in the slide, but it doesn't interfere.

Well made, quite strong, a moving slide without blowback is a plus for me.

Very nice air gun, the only downside is the plastic grips. 4/5

A good, heavy replica. A small pistol with quite a strong shot force; the number of shots on one CO2 capsule at a similar muzzle velocity reaches one hundred. I fired after cocking the hammer or manually pulling back the slide, which, thanks to the short trigger travel, allows accurate hits on the target. Shooting with this replica is a lot of fun.

Perfectly replicated replica, also in terms of weight. Fits perfectly in the hand (especially a small hand :) Accuracy is fine, quite powerful, easily pierces a bottle and even a sturdy pineapple can. And above all, the price is reasonable. I personally recommend it.

The first air gun I bought 14 years ago was a Makarov from Baikal, a bit rough and heavy to operate but quite accurate. Later I sold it and quit this hobby for several years. Now I bought a Makarov from Umarex and my old passions returned. The price is very reasonable. I immediately liked the air gun, the mechanisms work smoothly, it has some weight and fits very well in the hand. I shot at a 10x10 cm target from 8 meters, fired 89 shots from one CO2 cartridge and all hit the target, accuracy is OK.

Super heavy, super strong impact and I truly recommend it, in this version without blowback, very realistic appearance, for me a blast.

Very well-made and functioning replica of the Makarov pistol. The movable slide cocking the hammer increases realism, and the option to pre-cock the hammer improves shot accuracy. From 6 meters, it pierces one wall of a metal pineapple can. I recommend it.
