The pocket knife will work well as a first pocket knife for a child. Very nice look and design. The blade definitely needs to be sharpened. It has a sufficient number of functions for a pocket knife intended for children.

It ended up in the hands of my 6-year-old son. He’s satisfied, in my opinion it fully serves its purpose. However, I had to use a sharpening stone... to slightly dull the blade. I recommend it.
