Ideal for solo use, the self-inflating mat measures 193 cm in length and is constructed from 75D polyester, known for its exceptional strength and resistance to abrasion and mechanical wear. Incorporating lightweight, resilient polyurethane foam and offering superior insulation rated at R-Value 2.9, the mat provides reliable protection from cold and uneven terrain.
The model features a R-Value 2.9 thermal insulation rating, determined in accordance with the ASTM F3340-18 standard. This parameter defines the level of insulation from the ground - the higher the value, the more effective the reduction of heat loss.
Interpretation of R-Value used in the outdoor industry:
- 1.0-2.0 - use in summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 deg. C),
- 2.1-3.5 - spring-summer-fall use (approx. 0-10 deg. C),
- 3.6-5.0 - cool conditions, around 0 deg. C and sub-zero temperatures down to approx. -5 /-10 deg. C,
- 5.1-7.0 - winter use, temperatures below 0 deg. C,
- above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements.
Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleep system (sleeping bag, clothing), the type of ground, and the user's individual resistance to cold.
Featuring a thickness of 3.8 cm, the mat ensures exceptional comfort and reliable insulation from cold, uneven terrain. The outer layer is crafted from Honeycomb polyester material, known for its excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanical wear. The interior houses a self-expanding PU foam that automatically inflates as soon as the valve is opened, providing the mat with optimal elasticity. A specially engineered valve with a patented design effectively prevents unintentional air leakage.
Convenient transport is ensured by a compression strap with Velcro and a protective cover. The set also comes with a minor repair kit for field maintenance.
Once rolled up, the mat measures a compact 35 x 17 cm, allowing for easy storage in a backpack.
