Za-Pas MenWithThePot Chef Knife Satin - Olive Green

A unique knife combining the features of kitchen and outdoor knives, created in collaboration with the creators of the popular Men With The Pot channel. The Full Tang construction and wide Sheepsfoot blade make the knife well suited for preparing, slicing and portioning food both in the kitchen and outdoors. The blade is made of 1.4116 stainless steel, ground with a flat grind and finished with a satin finish. The handle made of olive G10 laminate provides durability and a secure grip, while the included sheath with Tek-Lok mounting makes the knife easier to carry safely.

1.4116 stainless steel with a hardness of 57-59 HRC

The blade is made of German 1.4116 stainless steel, hardened to 57-59 HRC. The alloying additives it contains, including manganese and vanadium, contribute to increased abrasion resistance. The steel used provides good cutting properties while remaining relatively easy to sharpen.

Sheepsfoot profile blade, satin finish

The knife is equipped with a wide Sheepsfoot profile blade with a length of 160 mm and a thickness of 2,9 mm. The characteristic almost straight cutting edge and the descending spine line promote controlled slicing, chopping, and precise blade guidance on the board. This profile limits the tip from extending beyond the blade line, making it well suited for kitchen tasks that require stable contact between the cutting edge and the surface. The applied flat grind supports efficient cutting, and the cutting edge is sharpened at an angle of 15 degrees. The blade has a satin finish, leaving delicate parallel processing marks on the steel surface. This finish highlights the character of the wide blade and gives the knife a subdued, technical appearance.

Full Tang construction, olive G10 scales

The knife is made in a Full Tang construction, in which the steel tang runs through the entire length of the handle, increasing the durability of the whole construction. The scales are made of olive G10 laminate, resistant to moisture, temperature changes, and the effects of most chemicals. They are attached with stainless steel screws, which ensures handle stability and durability during intensive work.

Sheath with Tek-Lok attachment

The set includes a sheath intended for safely carrying the knife together with Tek-Lok mounting. The Tek-Lok system allows the sheath to be stably attached to a belt and lets the carrying method be adapted to the equipment used. This solution makes quick access to the knife easier and increases carrying comfort during field work.

1.4116 feature
1.4116
1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) is a high-quality stainless steel from the DIN group, widely used in the production of kitchen knives and medical tools. The carbon content (0.45-0.55%) ensures good hardness and edge durability, while chromium (14-15%) guarantees high resistance to corrosion and oxidation. The steel also contains molybdenum (up to 0.6%), vanadium (up to 0.2%), manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), and a small amount of nickel (up to 1%). It achieves a hardness of 55-57 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, which allows for knives with good cutting properties, easy maintenance, and corrosion resistance.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
