In this category you will find butterfly knives from the manufacturer Boker. Butterfly knives, also known as balisongs, are probably one of the oldest weapons used in the Filipino martial art system called Arnis. The origins of the Boker company date back to the 17th century. Hermann and Robert Boker in 1829 began by producing sabers. They gradually expanded their product lines. Hermann Boker emigrated to Boker & Co. in New York, while the younger Robert founded the company in Canada, and in 1865 a branch in Mexico, which still leads the market today under the name Casa Boker.

The logo of butterfly knife manufacturer Boker features a chestnut tree. As the story goes, a huge chestnut tree towered over the small Boker hardware factory in the 17th century. This is the oldest identifiable fact about the Boker family. The tools that were produced in this factory (initially sabers, cutlery, later razors, scissors and pocket knives) were extremely successful in the market. They were ranked among the top goods in Germany and neighboring countries 100 years later. However, it was the US market that quickly became Boker's most important sales territory.

Boker butterfly knives are characterized by their lightweight but sturdy construction. It is worth reading the product description and technical data tab of the knife you are interested in. Boker balisong knives differ from each other, among other things, in the length and thickness of the blade, the design of the handle or the type of lock. If you want to know the opinions of other users about a particular knife model - take a look at the reviews tab.
