hardened CPM-M4 steel

The blade is made from high-quality CPM-M4 steel, hardened to a hardness of 62-64 HRC. The material used belongs to the group of premium steels, known for high mechanical resistance and edge durability. Carbon gives the steel high hardness, while chromium provides limited corrosion resistance and supports hardness when combined with molybdenum, which increases crack resistance and improves wear resistance.

tanto blade profile

The model features a blade with a Tanto profile, characterized by a distinctly marked, angular tip. The blade surface is coated with a ceramic Cerakote coating, which increases resistance to corrosion and limits scratch formation.

ergonomically contoured handle

The contoured handle scales are made from anodized 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum in green color, which combines low weight with high strength and damage resistance. Ergonomic profile and textured surface improve grip and control over the tool during work. At the end of the handle, there is a hole, enabling the attachment of a secure line, lanyard, or leash.

thumb stud and Axis Lock

Quick and convenient opening is ensured by a double-sided thumb stud, allowing operation with both right and left hand. The knife is equipped with a proven Axis Lock mechanism, characterized by high strength and resistance to loads.

The lock effectively secures the blade against accidental closure during work and uncontrolled opening during transport. The mechanism's construction is double-sided.

spring clip and glass breaker

The knife is equipped with a glass breaker, increasing its usefulness in emergency situations. The model is fitted with a spring steel clip with the option to reposition it to the right or left side, allowing the knife to be conveniently carried in a tip-up position and offering quick access to the tool.

CPM M4
CPM M4 is a high-alloy tool steel produced by Crucible Industries using powder metallurgy (CPM) technology. It belongs to the premium steel group, known for its high mechanical resistance and excellent edge durability. Carbon (1.42%) gives the steel high hardness, while chromium (4%) provides limited corrosion resistance and supports hardness in combination with molybdenum (5.25%), which increases fracture toughness and improves wear resistance. Tungsten (5.5%) further increases abrasion resistance and edge stability at high temperatures. After proper heat treatment, CPM M4 achieves a hardness of 62-65 HRC, which allows for a combination of extreme edge durability, high abrasion resistance, and excellent cutting aggression. The steel requires proper care because, due to its lower chromium content, it is not fully corrosion resistant. It is used in premium EDC, tactical, and utility knives.
Axis-Lock feature
Axis-Lock
Axis-Lock is a folding knife locking mechanism patented by Bill McHenry and Jason Williams, popularized and licensed by Benchmade. A spring steel bar (crossbar) slides transversely between the scales and fits into a recess on the back of the blade, firmly locking it in the open position. The mechanism works thanks to two omega springs that press the bar into the lock, ensuring smooth, two-handed operation and no play. To close the knife, simply slide the bar toward the rear of the handle and release the catch, allowing you to safely fold the blade without risking contact between your fingers and the blade.

It forms a thin, opaque layer that does not alter the geometry or balance of the blade, while ensuring high durability. Its matte, non-reflective finish, available in a variety of colors, makes it a popular choice for tactical and outdoor knives. The coating is resistant to impact, chipping, and abrasion, effectively protecting the steel in demanding conditions. In corrosion tests (Salt Spray ASTM B-117), it retains its properties for thousands of hours, protecting the blade from rust and oxidation. It is also resistant to chemicals, including cleaning agents and solvents.
