Centurio is a solidly made backpack that should serve for a long time. I especially appreciate the comfortable, adjustable shoulder straps, which never twist when putting it on. There are also side pockets that provide extra space for small items. There are two types of Centurio: with front access (FA) and without this option. My model has FA, and I see the advantage of easy access to the main compartment. The manufacturer, Berghaus, added two straps inside, which often catch on inserted items (as shown in the photo). This is less problematic if you use a protective bag, but not everyone does. I simply removed these straps. The mesh, hidden external pocket for a helmet or jacket can be useful, but it significantly increases the weight of the backpack and cannot be detached.
Centurio IV backpack from the MMPS (Multi Mission Pack System) line, offering a 30-liter capacity constructed with 1100 dtex Cordura fabric featuring IR technology. The ergonomic design delivers exceptional comfort throughout prolonged use.
Entry to the main compartment is available via a front zipper (FA - Front Access) and a top opening, facilitating quick access to gear without fully removing contents. The front and lateral sections incorporate MOLLE/PALS compatible straps, enabling secure attachment of additional gear and accessories.
The back panel integrates a dedicated ventilation channel, promoting airflow and enhancing wearer comfort, which is especially advantageous during extended hikes or high temperatures. Hydration system compatibility ensures hydration on the move. A concealed mesh pocket located on the front flap accommodates storage for a helmet or jacket, while a dedicated rain cover pocket is placed at the bottom.
Adjustable shoulder straps and hip belt provide a customized, ergonomic fit. Lateral compression straps keep the load tight against the back, optimizing stability and control. A detachable aluminum frame positioned against the back offers necessary structure and support.
A Velcro panel at the front is ideal for affixing patches or emblems such as a national flag, unit insignia, or Morale Patches. The flap’s reverse side features a transparent ID card pocket.
A durable carrying handle positioned on the top ensures easy hand transport.
