Bestech Knives Glok Folding Knife - Grey

A compact, folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife featuring a Drop-Point blade. Engineered for daily reliability and outdoor versatility, this folder is the creation of American designer Keanu Alfaro.

14C28N stainless steel and Stonewash finish

The blade features 14C28N stainless steel, engineered by the Swedish firm Sandvik. The material’s chemical makeup is tailored for exceptional hardness. Carefully balanced nitrogen content preserves corrosion resistance and enhances the blade's edge retention. The inclusion of carbon ensures excellent cutting performance, while chromium delivers strong protection against rust and oxidation.

A Stonewash finish is applied to the blade’s surface, giving it a rugged, matte appearance with a utilitarian edge. This finishing technique minimizes glare and effectively hides marks or scratches acquired during use.

Drop-point profile blade, jimping

Equipped with a Drop-Point blade profile, this model offers a plain cutting edge with a total length of 9 cm. The spine incorporates jimping, providing a stable thumb rest and enhancing blade control during precise cutting tasks.

Handle scales made of G10 laminate, clip, and lanyard hole

Handle scales are crafted from G10 laminate in grey, utilizing multiple layers of glass fiber set in epoxy resin. Non-slip texturing on the scales, along with a defined finger groove, ensures a secure hold. Outfitted with a resilient steel clip (tip-up, right-side carry), this model also features a hole designed for attaching a cord or lanyard.

Button lock mechanism, thumb disk, ball bearing

Equipped with a double-sided thumb disk, the knife enables effortless deployment with either the right or left hand. A Button Lock mechanism secures the blade in place. A ball bearing integrated into the main pivot enhances the smoothness and speed of the opening action.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
Button Lock feature
Button Lock
Button Lock (also known as Plunge Lock) is a locking mechanism in folding knives based on a spring button. When fully opened, the tang enters a notch at the base of the blade and locks it in the working position; when closed, the same element acts as a detent. The design allows for smooth opening and closing with one hand and increases safety, as it does not require the user to place their fingers on the blade line. Thanks to its simplicity and reliability, the Button Lock is often used in EDC knives and collector's models.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.

Contrary to appearances, it actually fits very well in the hand. An interesting knife that gets better the more you use it. Mechanically and in terms of materials, it is excellent in this price range.

A practical, wide blade. The handle lies comfortably in a large hand, but for a smaller hand, it may be slightly too wide to achieve a secure grip. Nevertheless, I recommend it, a successful design.
