Despite its small size on paper, the Mini Dundee itself gives the impression of being larger. I don't know how it works, but only when you place it next to other similar models like the Kirez Aegis, you can see it's in the same class. The craftsmanship is perfect. The double DD lock requires more attention while working. You need to remember its construction, especially if you are used to "hard" lock knives. Advantage - it opens and closes in a split second - with a single movement. I showed it to my wife, and she said it's the first knife she actually likes. The light blue color combined with gray, not black, coating looks very good. It's something different from the black G10, gray or green micarta, of which I have most. The knife is elegant, sophisticated, eye-catching, but be careful - it's definitely not a "soft" or feminine knife. Proportions, handle and blade lines - everything matches perfectly. Good ergonomics, mechanics, light, delicate G10 texture, the jimping on the blade is probably the best I've experienced. The clip is slim, flowing onto the handle, beautifully designed. The gray coating looks like titanium. Honestly, I did not expect the design to be so refined. You can't see this in the pictures; only when you put it next to other models do you feel the class of the Polish designer. In the pictures, it looks like an ordinary, simple, classic knife, even to excess. In reality - a perfect design. Even when folded, the blade's front sits flush with the handle. It's just a detail, but this model is made up of such details. I recommend it, and if someone hasn't tried the DD lock, it's worth checking out. It works quite well. The only downside - centering. Acceptable, but not perfect.
Bestechman Mini Dundee Folding Knife - Blue/Black
A compact and lightweight folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife designed for versatility. Featuring a Drop-Point blade crafted from high-carbon D2 steel, the knife boasts excellent chromium content, providing superior resistance to corrosion and wear. Renowned Polish knifemaker Ostap Hel is the creator behind this model. The blade utilizes a flat grind for optimal performance.
Handle
Constructed from robust G10 composite, the handle features a non-slip surface and a practical finger groove for a reliable grip, even when hands are wet or dirty. The Mini Dundee model also includes jimping—a notch on the spine of the blade—that provides effective finger support and helps prevent slippage onto the cutting edge.
Safe use
Effortless and smooth deployment of the knife is ensured by ceramic ball bearings paired with a flipper, which, once open, functions additionally as a small cross guard. A classic Liner Lock mechanism secures the blade in the open position. The handle features a clip on both the right and left sides, enabling secure attachment of the knife to a belt, pocket edge, or other gear components.
