The emergency radio is made of good quality materials. An advantage is the ability to charge it via the built-in dynamo as well as the power grid. Two independent light sources are an additional plus. A product worth recommending.
Blaupunkt ER20 Emergency Radio
AM/FM emergency radio equipped with a powerbank function proves essential for all outdoor adventures—whether trekking, camping, at the beach, or in daily situations where external power sources are unavailable.
Analog radio tuner, telescopic antenna
Fitted with a dual-band analog radio tuner, the model enables the reception of broadcast transmissions in the FM and AM frequency bands. The FM band covers a range of 87.5 – 108.0 MHz, while the AM band operates from 522 to 1620 KHz. A sliding switch on the front panel allows for easy switching between bands. A separate tuning knob is provided for precise adjustment of the chosen station, with the current frequency displayed on an accurate scale. Reliable radio signal reception is supported by a built-in telescopic antenna, which can be freely adjusted in any direction.
LED flashlight, SOS mode
Equipped with a SOS alarm feature, the device emits a 110 dB acoustic signal that enables rescue teams to quickly locate individuals in distress during emergencies. Alongside its radio capabilities, the ER20 is also designed to function as a flashlight, utilizing a built-in LED with three lighting modes.
Built-in battery, solar panel, crank generator
Equipped with a 2000 mAh battery, this device is powered either through the integrated solar panel or a manual hand crank generator. Charging via the solar module requires approximately 60 hours of direct sunlight to achieve a full charge. The panel also incorporates a small lamp, providing an extra light source. Operating the hand crank generator with approximately 360 rotations produces enough energy to power the radio or flashlight for about 30 minutes. Charging is also possible from an external power supply using the supplied USB-C cable, delivering a full charge within 4-5 hours.
Powerbank function, battery level indicator
Equipped with a USB-C connector, the radio serves effectively as a portable backup powerbank, enabling you to charge most electronic devices, including smartphones, tablets, and notebooks. An integrated charge level indicator displays the battery status during operation. With a fully charged battery, the radio can operate continuously for 10 to 15 hours.

Good quality. It has everything you would expect in such a device. The digital dial is handy and well worth the upgrade. The cracking mechanism works well. I haven’t tested the solar panel. Price is a bit high considering it doesn’t have DAB+.

The product has a good quality-to-price ratio, I bought it as a birthday gift. The camouflage has a nice shade, the device is solar-powered and offers several additional functions. It is handy and lighter than I expected, which makes it easy to carry. The 2000 mAh battery is not the most efficient, but sometimes cheaper Chinese products may provide exaggerated data. Overall, it's a good purchase for this price. Shipping was express as always, and not having to pay customs fees to the UK is a big advantage.
