Boker Kiboku Knife - Desert Iron Wood

A fixed-blade knife intended for everyday use and all kinds of field work, with a total length of 180 mm and a Full Tang construction, meaning the blade tang runs through the entire handle. The 75 mm long blade with a Drop-Point profile is made of RWL 34 stainless steel. The blade is finished using the Two-Tone method, giving it a matte effect. The handle scales are made of wood. The designer is Lucas Burnley.

RWL 34 stainless steel

The blade is made of RWL 34 stainless steel, characterised by high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening while maintaining very good working sharpness. This steel was developed with knives in mind, which is why it offers a favourable balance between wear resistance, durability and cutting edge stability. The fine-grained structure translates into clean, aggressive cutting and good control during sharpening, making it well suited for EDC and outdoor use.

Drop-Point profile, flat grind

The blade with a Full Tang construction and a Drop-Point profile is 75 mm long and 3 mm thick. The blade shape provides very good cutting efficiency while maintaining adequate durability, which allows for more intensive knife use. The edge is ground with a high flat grind and finished using the Two-Tone technique. On the spine, at the thumb rest point, there is jimping to facilitate blade control during cutting.

wooden scales, lanyard hole

The handle scales are made of desert ironwood, which is characterised by high hardness and wear resistance. The ergonomic contouring of the scales ensures a secure grip and prevents the fingers from slipping onto the edge, thus increasing work safety. Protection against the hand slipping onto the edge is provided by the appropriately contoured shape of the grip section. At the end of the handle there is a hole for threading a safety lanyard.

Kydex sheath

To make carrying easier, the set includes a sheath made of durable Kydex. The sheath can be carried both around the neck and on a belt thanks to a special mounting system, which makes it suitable both as a neck knife and as a backup knife.

RWL 34 feature
RWL 34
RWL 34 is a powdered stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Damasteel, which is an advancement of the classic ATS-34 steel. It is characterized by high hardness, wear resistance, and long-lasting sharpness, making it an ideal choice for the production of premium, custom, and collector's knives. It has excellent cutting properties and corrosion resistance thanks to powder technology, which ensures a very fine grain structure, improving edge stability and strength. The chemical composition of the steel includes carbon (1.05%), chromium (14%), molybdenum (4%), vanadium (0.2%), manganese (0.5%), and silicon (0.5%), which allows it to achieve a hardness of 60-62 HRC after proper heat treatment. The steel is valued by professionals for its exceptional corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, and ability to maintain sharpness for a long time, making it an ideal material for intensive use in harsh conditions.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
