Knife with a Full Tang, construction, meaning the tang runs through the entire handle. The model is named after the Norse god Hermod, son of Odin. The design is credited to Dirk Hofmeister from Midgards Messer.
The wide blade with a Drop-Point profile is made of high-carbon D2 tool steel characterized by high cutting aggression and excellent wear resistance. A large jimping is placed on the spine of the blade at the thumb rest, enhancing control over the blade during cuts. The blade surface is finished with the Stonewash method, giving it a matte effect. The blade features a functional double-sided fuller.
The textured handle made from G10 laminate is shaped and applied directly onto the tang. The choil and the jimped spine prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade, ensuring a secure grip. The tang extending beyond the handle with a hole for a cord or lanyard serves as a functional glass breaker or an additional field tool.
A Kydex sheath with a belt adapter is included with the knife.
