Unfortunately, quality control at Boker failed here. The knife is very hard to open. The 'lighter-style' opening is almost impossible, and when opening it like a pocket knife you can feel resistance and friction. I'll take it apart, clean it, lubricate it, and it should be fine. For now, however, it's not great.
Boker Plus Modern Barlow Folding Knife
The folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife features a blade with a Clip-Point profile. Engineered with a lightweight build and a spring clip, the knife offers convenient portability, making it suitable for daily use as well as outdoor applications.
Nitro-V stainless steel, satin finish
Blades featuring a Clip-Point profile are crafted from Nitro-V steel, hardened to 59 HRC. This steel is an enhanced variant of AEB-L, benefiting from the addition of nitrogen and vanadium, which provide exceptional strength, hardness, and resistance to corrosion. A two-tone satin finish delivers a matte appearance to the blade.
Flipper and thumb hole, Liner Lock
Deployment of the knife is achieved using an extended thumb hole as well as a flipper. A ball bearing situated on the knife’s main axis enhances the smoothness of opening the blade. In the fully opened position, the blade remains secure thanks to the Liner Lock mechanism.
Micarta handle, steel clip
Featuring Micarta ergonomic handle scales, the knife incorporates an extra-long bolster finished with a durable titanium coating. A spring tip-up(r) clip enables secure and convenient carry on a belt or pocket edge.

Great knife for everyday use. Böker Modern Barlow is a masterpiece. Its minimalist design makes it exceptionally elegant, and the build quality is top-notch. The knife opens smoothly, and its lightness makes it very comfortable in the pocket. I recommend it to anyone who values classic style in a modern version.

Very nice small knife. To open it with one hand, you need to use your thumb on the flipper, not your index finger. The micarta scales look great. Very pleasant knife. A very lightweight folder that won’t really scare anyone if you pull it out in public. I'm very happy with the purchase. I recommend it!

Elegant, classic, yet modern at the same time. The whole design is very coherent, the smooth mechanics and easy opening make it a solid choice for an EDC knife.
