Bushnell Engage 10x50 Roof Binoculars

The Bushnell Engage series binoculars feature a fixed 10x magnification and a large 50 mm objective lens diameter. Equipped with advanced technology, these binoculars deliver exceptional image clarity, high contrast, and offer a wide field of view. With adjustable eyecups and a diopter adjustment, extended observation sessions remain comfortable while allowing for personalized settings.

BaK-4 glass, anti-reflective coatings

Equipped with prisms crafted from superior BaK-4 optical glass, these binoculars deliver outstanding image brightness and sharpness. Their advanced optical system incorporates lenses constructed from ED glass (Extra-low Dispersion), which boasts a remarkably low light dispersion factor. Superior image resolution and contrast are achieved, while chromatic aberration is nearly nonexistent. Every air-to-glass interface features state-of-the-art FMC anti-reflective coatings (Fully Multi-Coated) in combination with a specialized UWB coating (Ultra Wide Band Coating), efficiently minimizing glare and light loss across the entire optical setup.

Enhanced visual performance is provided by cutting-edge PC-3 Phase Coating and DPC (Dielectric Prism Coating) on the roof prisms, which counteract phase shift losses in light waves. The result is maximum image brightness and clarity, contributing to enhanced color accuracy, superior resolution, and elevated contrast.

IPX7 waterproof construction, EXO Barrier Protection coating

Featuring an advanced EXO Barrier Protection coating, these binoculars resist the accumulation of water droplets and dust, and are designed to be scratch-resistant, enabling clear viewing even in wet weather. The coating also minimizes fogging caused by breath.

Engineered to meet the IPX7 waterproof standard, these binoculars can endure not only heavy rain but also full submersion in water up to 1 meter deep for as long as 30 minutes. The robust metal construction is finished with a rubberized coating, providing a secure grip in any situation.

Warranty

A 15-year manufacturer's warranty is provided with the binoculars.

BaK-4 feature
BaK-4
BaK-4 are high-end prisms made of Barium Crown glass, containing barium oxide. They are used in advanced optics such as binoculars, telescopes and finders, where image quality is crucial. BaK-4 glass is characterized by a high refractive index, resulting in a sharp, bright and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. With excellent light transmission, these prisms perform particularly well in low-light conditions.
DPC - Dielectric Prism Coating feature
DPC - Dielectric Prism Coating
DPC (Dielectric Prism Coating) is an advanced dielectric optical coating applied to roof prisms in Bushnell devices. The use of this multi-layer coating increases the reflectivity inside the prism to more than 99%, resulting in better light transmission, higher image brightness and more faithful color reproduction.
ED Lenses feature
ED Lenses
ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses are optical elements made of low-dispersion glass, used in high-end optical devices. Their main function is to reduce chromatic aberration, which is the splitting of light manifested by colored borders around contrasting objects. With ED lenses, the image is clearer, sharper and has better color reproduction - especially at the edges of the field of view and when observing high-contrast objects.
EXO Barrier feature
EXO Barrier
EXO Barrier is the latest generation of protective coating developed by Bushnell, applied to the outer surfaces of lenses. It forms a microscopic, durable layer that resists water, dust, oil, fingerprints and other contaminants. Water droplets run off immediately and dirt does not adhere to the glass, ensuring maximum image clarity in all conditions. The EXO Barrier coating is permanently bonded to the surface of the optics, resistant to abrasion and effective for the life of the device.
FMC - Fully MultiCoated feature
FMC - Fully MultiCoated
FMC (Fully MultiCoated) is a technology used in optical devices to apply multi-layer anti-reflective coatings to all lens surfaces in contact with air. This solution effectively reduces reflections and light loss, improving brightness, contrast and image clarity. The increased light transmission translates into a sharper and more detailed image, which is crucial when observing in limited light conditions.
PC-3 feature
PC-3
PC-3 Phase Coating is an advanced phase coating developed by Bushnell and applied to roof prisms in high-end binoculars. Its purpose is to eliminate phase splitting of light that can occur during reflection inside the prism. As a result, the image gains better sharpness, clarity and detail reproduction, and colors remain natural and saturated. PC-3 technology significantly improves image quality, especially in demanding observation conditions such as low light or high background contrast.
UWB - Ultra Wide Band feature
UWB - Ultra Wide Band
Ultra Wide Band (UWB) is an advanced anti-reflective coating technology used in Bushnell optics. It involves individually adjusting anti-reflective coatings for each optical element in the light path, allowing maximum light penetration from the objective lens to the eyepiece. This results in images with enhanced brightness and contrast. UWB technology also minimizes unwanted glare and flare, improving image clarity.

My best purchase in the last month. Amazing. Previously, I used Nikon binoculars with the same magnification. The view is completely different. I didn't expect such a big difference. I recommend it without hesitation.

The Bushnell Engage EDX is excellent optics and quality workmanship, I am very satisfied with the purchase. It performs very well in low light as well as on very sunny days, it's not too heavy to carry, and fits securely in your hands. The image is clear and sharp, everything up to 2 kilometers away is 'readable', and up close it's razor-sharp; for example, within a radius of up to 46 kilometers, buildings and structures are visible that you can, of course, recognize if you live in the area (of course, on a very clear day). Highly recommend!
