Sleeping bag of excellent quality, very warm. A temperature of -10 is nothing for it. Nice central opening and the quality of the zippers makes getting out much easier, even if you need to exit quickly, which isn't always obvious. I've already heard that Carinthia has great zippers and it's really confirmed here. The set includes a very solid compression sack, which really reduces the volume of the sleeping bag, and since it's quite large, there's a lot to compress. As for the weight and size, it's no surprise for a synthetic sleeping bag with these parameters, but that's the trade-off – you don't have to treat it like an egg as you would with down sleeping bags. The Defence 6 sleeping bag fits into my Savotta Jaakari XL backpack in the lower compartment without any problem, vertically, so that's been tested. So, for this sleeping bag, you need a large backpack, or you can attach it outside. I definitely recommend this sleeping bag and personally prefer the Defence 6 for winter over combining the Defence 4 with the Tropen.
