Carinthia ECIG 4.0 Jacket - Black

Insulated jacket featuring a waterproof PTFE membrane and a lining constructed from highly durable polyamide. The exterior utilizes windproof Gore Windstopper fabric, offering exceptional resistance to wear, tear, and moisture, while ensuring outstanding breathability. Developed in collaboration with uniformed services personnel operating in harsh and demanding weather conditions.

The exterior material features a IR coating designed to reduce detectability by devices equipped with residual light amplifiers (night vision technology). Areas such as the back, shoulders, elbows, and cuffs are reinforced with Cordura fabric, which significantly boosts abrasion and tear resistance.

The jacket’s lining is insulated with lightweight synthetic G-Loft down, ensuring thermal protection in conditions as cold as -30 degrees Celsius. The type and distribution of insulation are determined by the ISO Mapping system, which segments body areas into specific thermal zones. Critical sections most vulnerable to heat loss, such as the torso, are packed with 220 g/m2 of insulation, while the shoulders are provided with 145 g/m2. Even when exposed to moisture, the insulation maintains its thermal efficiency.

The ECIG 4.0 version offers 12 pockets in total:

• two zippered cargo pockets on the chest, lined with fleece
• four zippered pockets located on the shoulders
• one zippered pocket on the left forearm
• two additional zippered pockets
• two spacious internal pockets
• a small mesh inner pocket for documents, secured with a zipper

A water-resistant, dual-direction zipper secures the jacket, featuring a protective chin guard and an internal wind flap. The tall collar comes lined with removable thermal fleece for optimal breathability and moisture resistance. Underarm ventilation openings enable customizable airflow control.

Velcro-adjustable cuffs and an elastic drawstring at the hem ensure excellent adaptation to the wearer’s physique. Additionally, an adjustable snow skirt is incorporated at the waist. The jacket features a roomy hood lined with fleece, adjustable with two elastic pullers, and an extra puller at the back secured by a Velcro-fastened flap.

Three Velcro panels are stitched onto the shoulders and back, providing space for attaching various patches and insignia, including a national flag, unit badge, or Morale Patches.
