Cold Steel Rajah II AUS-10A Folding Knife
A folding knife developed in collaboration with knifemaker Andrew Demko. The Recurve Kukri-profile blade is made of Japanese AUS-10A stainless steel. The blade features a high flat grind and a Stonewash finish. The black handle, made of Griv-Ex glass-nylon composite, features a non-slip texture. A thumb disc is positioned on both sides of the blade, and the Tri-Ad Lock ensures the blade remains locked in the open position. A spring-loaded clip on the handle is provided for carrying.
AUS-10A stainless steel
The blade is made of Japanese AUS-10A steel, which is characterized by its strength and good resistance to corrosion and abrasion. After hardening, it reaches a hardness of 58–61 HRC.
Recurve Kukri blade with Stonewash finish
The blade of the Recurve Kukri profile is 152 mm long and 4.8 mm thick. The blade, which features a high flat grind, has been finished using the Stonewash method, which gives the surface a semi-matte appearance and hides minor scratches and marks caused by use.
Griv-Ex composite handle

AUS-10 is a high-quality stainless steel produced by the Japanese company Aichi Steel, considered one of the best in the AUS steel series, used mainly in mid-range and high-end utility knives, produced mainly in Japan and Taiwan. The carbon content (0.95-1.1%) ensures high hardness, while chromium (13-14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which affect hardenability, impact strength, elasticity, and machinability, improving structural stability and maintaining mechanical properties. After hardening, the steel achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, offering an excellent balance between strength, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. It is comparable to 440C steel, differing in carbon content and the addition of vanadium, which improves structural homogeneity and increases abrasion resistance.
Tri-Ad Lock
Tri-Ad Lock is a lock developed by Cold Steel and Andrew Demko, considered one of the strongest systems in folding knives. Its key element is a stop pin, which takes the pressure from the blade and distributes it to the handle, protecting the lock from wear and overload. The mechanism is designed to self-adjust over time, which maintains the reliability of the lock even after prolonged use. Stonewash

The knife seems very durable, and the lock is very solid. It can successfully be used for somewhat heavier tasks. It's a bit difficult to sharpen due to the pronounced belly on the blade.

A true pocket beast! Successfully replaces a small axe, yet is relatively light. Excellent grip, reach, and kukri blade that needs no introduction. I use it for light gardening tasks like trimming branches, and it works very well.

My number one when it comes to folding knives. It has replaced other knives in my pocket, such as the 4MAX, AD10, Spyderco PM2, or Fox Tracker Meskwaki. I looked at it many times on the website, but it seemed ugly, impractical, and weird to me—now I regret not buying it sooner. The reality is completely different. The knife is huge and tank-like, factory sharp enough to shave against the grain. I recommend it to anyone who likes to have a solid piece of steel for various tasks, and I will definitely buy a second one myself.

I love this knife. This is my second Cold Steel and I think I've been convinced by this brand. The Rajah is a great big folder, and I understand Mr. Thompson's philosophy that bigger is better! Maybe it’s not suitable for carrying in every situation, but this is the one that accompanies me most often. Sharp and handy. A great cutting tool whose durability lets it substitute for fixed blade knives when you don't have one at hand. Recommended.

Brilliant knife, heavy, fits great in the hand. It is comfortable and makes an impression because it is a solid piece of metal. I've tried it several times chopping logs and it hasn't dulled at all—it's also very solid and inspires trust in the Tri-Ad Lock mechanism. Of course, before buying it, I did research online and didn't find any negative reviews. This is my third product from Cold Steel, after the Hide Out and Safe Maker push knife, and as always, I am satisfied :)

Andrew Demko! A powerful knife (watch your fingers). Heavy (380g), solid, easy to operate. Excellent kukri blade (153mm long) with a high flat grind, ensuring enormous durability. Top-tier steel. Tri-Ad Lock (unbreakable), perfectly designed thumb plate (draws the knife open from your pocket!), fantastic balance (on the handle, 45mm from the blade), handle contouring allowing four secure grips and at least two reverse grips. Amazing!
