I received the knife as a gift from my daughter (I've wanted it for a long time). The knife quickly teaches its new owner to respect it 😉🤣. It comes extremely, extremely sharp. As soon as you hold it, you can tell you are dealing with a high-quality tool. The blade is amazing—the steel, the shape, and that grind 😍, the angle. You can simply fall in love with it. It will appeal even to the most demanding users—I recommend it.
Cold Steel Rajah II AUS-10A Folding Knife
Developed in partnership with knifemaker Andrew Demko, this folding knife features a Recurve Kukri blade forged from Japanese AUS-10A stainless steel. A high flat grind is utilized in the blade’s construction, complemented by a Stonewash finish. The handle, crafted from glass-reinforced nylon composite Griv-Ex, offers a non-slip grip texture. Equipped with a double-sided thumb disk for easy opening and a robust Tri-Ad Lock mechanism for secure blade deployment. A springy clip mounted to the handle provides convenient carry options.
AUS-10A stainless steel
Forged from Japanese AUS-10A steel, the blade offers exceptional toughness along with impressive resistance to both corrosion and wear. Upon hardening, it reaches a hardness of 58-61 HRC.
Recurve Kukri blade with Stonewash finish
The Recurve Kukri features a blade measuring 152 mm in length and 4.8 mm in thickness. Forged with a high flat grind, the blade is treated with the Stonewash finish, resulting in a semi-matte surface that effectively camouflages minor scratches and signs of wear.
Griv-Ex composite handle
Constructed from glass-nylon composite Griv-Ex, the handle incorporates nylon reinforced with fiberglass, enhancing both rigidity and wear resistance while keeping weight to a minimum. Ergonomic profiling provides hand stability, while the anti-slip texture ensures secure grip control, even in wet conditions.
Tri-Ad Lock, double-sided disk
Outfitted with a Tri-Ad Lock, renowned for its superior durability among folding knife locking mechanisms, the knife utilizes a stop pin that absorbs energy generated during use and redirects it into the handle. This design minimizes internal wear and tear on the mechanism, while the system itself adapts to regular use, ensuring the lock remains secure and consistent over time.
Fitted with a double-sided thumb disk, the blade enables ambidextrous operation for both left- and right-handed users. The disk also makes possible rapid deployment by hooking onto the edge of a pocket for swift opening.
springy clip
A spring-loaded clip is integrated into the handle for carrying, enabling secure attachment of the knife to a belt or the edge of a pocket. The clip is reversible, allowing installation on either the left or right side to suit the user's preference.

The knife seems very durable, and the lock is very solid. It can successfully be used for somewhat heavier tasks. It's a bit difficult to sharpen due to the pronounced belly on the blade.
-
And with this knife, Demko has once again proven his mastery—this knife is a powerhouse!!!c

A true pocket beast! Successfully replaces a small axe, yet is relatively light. Excellent grip, reach, and kukri blade that needs no introduction. I use it for light gardening tasks like trimming branches, and it works very well.
-
Solid knife, seems indestructible.
-
If you’re wondering whether you’d even 'want to have it'... trust me on this... no matter what knives you generally like... you definitely 'would want to have the Rajah 2'..:)
-
Great blade, commands respect. I suspect you could easily cut down light poles with it, maybe even medium-sized trees. The rednecks from the USA did a good job.
-
A real beast. A knife worthy of recommendation for anyone who wants a piece of steel that fits in your pocket.
-
The knife works great. It's perfect for the forest and for camping. I recommend it.

My number one when it comes to folding knives. It has replaced other knives in my pocket, such as the 4MAX, AD10, Spyderco PM2, or Fox Tracker Meskwaki. I looked at it many times on the website, but it seemed ugly, impractical, and weird to me—now I regret not buying it sooner. The reality is completely different. The knife is huge and tank-like, factory sharp enough to shave against the grain. I recommend it to anyone who likes to have a solid piece of steel for various tasks, and I will definitely buy a second one myself.

I love this knife. This is my second Cold Steel and I think I've been convinced by this brand. The Rajah is a great big folder, and I understand Mr. Thompson's philosophy that bigger is better! Maybe it’s not suitable for carrying in every situation, but this is the one that accompanies me most often. Sharp and handy. A great cutting tool whose durability lets it substitute for fixed blade knives when you don't have one at hand. Recommended.

It chops medium-thickness branches wonderfully. Very sharp from the factory.
-
Brilliant knife, heavy, fits great in the hand. It is comfortable and makes an impression because it is a solid piece of metal. I've tried it several times chopping logs and it hasn't dulled at all—it's also very solid and inspires trust in the Tri-Ad Lock mechanism. Of course, before buying it, I did research online and didn't find any negative reviews. This is my third product from Cold Steel, after the Hide Out and Safe Maker push knife, and as always, I am satisfied :)

Andrew Demko! A powerful knife (watch your fingers). Heavy (380g), solid, easy to operate. Excellent kukri blade (153mm long) with a high flat grind, ensuring enormous durability. Top-tier steel. Tri-Ad Lock (unbreakable), perfectly designed thumb plate (draws the knife open from your pocket!), fantastic balance (on the handle, 45mm from the blade), handle contouring allowing four secure grips and at least two reverse grips. Amazing!

Simply a monster, a folding machete, the steel is good and the thickness and size of the blade allows for a lot.
