I would give it 6 stars if I could. The map case is really great. I recommended it to a few colleagues and everyone is satisfied. It has pockets that fit a compass, a pencil, and other useful items. It folds up nicely and is very well made.

Camouflage Desert Night Camo
Desert Night Camo (DNC) represents a unique camouflage pattern engineered by the US Army during the 1980s specifically for nocturnal operations in desert environments. Intended to be worn over standard uniforms, DNC was most notably utilized throughout Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. The design features a grid of dark green squares and crosses laid across an olive-green background. Developed to counteract the effectiveness of early enemy night vision technology, its primary function was to obscure detection. While field use demonstrated moderate success in reducing visibility through night vision devices, DNC marked a significant advancement in night-time concealment solutions.

I didn't even realize how practical and useful this kit is. A folding knife, a compass, a snack bar, and of course a map — everything fits easily into a thigh pocket when you don't have to save space specifically for the map. After the weekend, the map looked like new. It's worth folding it in such a way that there is no need to take it out, positioning the front and the folded part at the back so that it can still be read comfortably. This solution costs less than the map itself, so I definitely consider it a good investment.

The Helikon-Tex map case is a real essential for all kinds of trips; it fits everything needed for hiking with a map, the waterproof cover will keep the map from getting wet, and it can be hung around the neck.

I can't give any rating other than 5 stars. An excellently sewn, well-thought-out map case. It fits the most necessary accessories. It can be conveniently folded and hung up.

A very useful item for trips off the beaten track or into areas with very weak signal. The map case can easily hold a notebook, a compass, as well as many other useful things. When folded, it takes up very little space in a backpack; after all, everything for navigation is in one place. Despite my concerns, there is no problem reading the map in full sunlight.

I bought the map case for tactical competitions and it worked very well. You can also put a compass, marker, some essentials in it, hang it around your neck, and fasten it nicely.

An essential item for any expedition into the unknown. It protects the map from rain and mud, and thanks to the transparent panel, you can use it without taking the map out. Made from thick material that doesn't stiffen in the cold. It can be easily attached to your gear or hung around your neck. This is a professional approach to navigation that saves you stress when the weather suddenly turns bad.

Map case designed by someone knowledgeable about the subject. Carefully made from high-quality materials. When folded, it fits into a cargo pocket, and when unfolded, it holds a map of a large area at a scale of 1:50000. I recommend the product and the Militaria.pl store.

Very nice map case, fits perfectly in a backpack even when unfolded, solidly made, but it's Helikon so quality is always the top priority. I can definitely recommend it.

A useful item. Besides a map, you can also have things like radio communication templates or other useful information. I haven't seen anything similar from other manufacturers.

The map case is solidly made and nicely sized. I use it together with the admin pouch. It has already proven itself in rain and drizzle. When folded, it fits well into a pocket. It's also good that there's a place to store a compass or a flashlight. I recommend this product.

Made of durable material, the map case is equipped with a waterproof compartment for the map with a zipper, allowing it to be used in various weather conditions. Additional pockets make it easy to store a compass, notebook, and pencil. Its small size and low weight allow you to keep it even in the side pocket of pants or a sweatshirt.

Overall, it’s a very well-made and thoughtfully designed map case, worth recommending. It holds everything you need for basic map navigation, but it lacks attachment to MOLLE for a vest—then it would get 5 stars.
