I would give it 6 stars if I could. The map case is really great. I recommended it to a few colleagues and everyone is satisfied. It has pockets that fit a compass, a pencil, and other useful items. It folds up nicely and is very well made.
Helikon-Tex Map Case IRR - wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland
A compact map case in wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage, intended for storing a map and handy accessories. It is made of 100% 500D Cordura with a grammage of 225 g/m2, with IRR properties that reduce infrared radiation reflection. A transparent zippered pocket allows convenient use of the map, while additional pockets and the folding design help organise and secure equipment.
500D Cordura, IRR properties
The case is made of 100% 500D Cordura with a grammage of 225 g/m2. The material is highly resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage, so it stands up well to regular field use. The applied IRR (Infrared Reflective) properties reduce the reflection of infrared radiation from the material surface. This makes the equipment less contrasting during observation with devices operating in the near-infrared range, which helps maintain effective camouflage beyond the visible light spectrum.
Convenient organisation
The case is equipped with:
- 1 transparent zippered map pocket
- 2 external zippered pockets
- 2 open external pockets
The transparent pocket allows the map to be read without having to remove it, while additional compartments help organise small accessories needed during field work. On one of the sides there is a loop for a pen or marker.
The case can be folded in half and secured with a snap, which reduces its size during carrying and helps keep the contents organised. The case dimensions are 25.5 x 30 cm, and when folded about 17 x 14 cm.
Camouflage wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland
The wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage pattern is currently used by the Polish Armed Forces. It was the first camouflage pattern designed and introduced into widespread use in the Third Polish Repubic. The 1993 pattern combines mimetic and deforming properties through the use of irregular spots of various sizes. The color scheme, based on green, brown, and black, has been adapted to the conditions of Polish forests, making ""Pantera"" a good choice for operations in the native terrain. Uniforms in this camouflage pattern are also part of the basic equipment for students of Military Uniform Classes.

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
Materials with IRR (Infrared Reflective) properties are designed to maximize the absorption and minimize the mission of infrared radiation, which is important for camouflage and avoiding detection by observation devices such as night vision devices.

Review summary
The map case receives very positive feedback for its solid construction, durable materials, and well-designed pocket layout. Users praise its compact folded size, good protection against rain and mud, and the ability to carry a map, compass, notebook, and small accessories in one place. The transparent zippered compartment protects the map well and lets users read it without taking it out. The most common drawbacks are the limited map area, which makes standard large maps less convenient to use, and the lack of an included cord or some extra mounting options.

A very nice map case.. lots of pockets/organizers, folds down to a small size, secure snap fastenings.. possibility to choose the color ..the promotional price is very pleasant..

I didn't even realize how practical and useful this kit is. A folding knife, a compass, a snack bar, and of course a map — everything fits easily into a thigh pocket when you don't have to save space specifically for the map. After the weekend, the map looked like new. It's worth folding it in such a way that there is no need to take it out, positioning the front and the folded part at the back so that it can still be read comfortably. This solution costs less than the map itself, so I definitely consider it a good investment.

Compact map case, quite small, I took this color because it was on sale, lots of nice little pockets for gadgets like a compass. ruler, the map is protected by foil in a zippered closure.

The Helikon-Tex map case is a real essential for all kinds of trips; it fits everything needed for hiking with a map, the waterproof cover will keep the map from getting wet, and it can be hung around the neck.
-
I can't give any rating other than 5 stars. An excellently sewn, well-thought-out map case. It fits the most necessary accessories. It can be conveniently folded and hung up.
-
A very useful item for trips off the beaten track or into areas with very weak signal. The map case can easily hold a notebook, a compass, as well as many other useful things. When folded, it takes up very little space in a backpack; after all, everything for navigation is in one place. Despite my concerns, there is no problem reading the map in full sunlight.

I bought the map case for tactical competitions and it worked very well. You can also put a compass, marker, some essentials in it, hang it around your neck, and fasten it nicely.

An essential item for any expedition into the unknown. It protects the map from rain and mud, and thanks to the transparent panel, you can use it without taking the map out. Made from thick material that doesn't stiffen in the cold. It can be easily attached to your gear or hung around your neck. This is a professional approach to navigation that saves you stress when the weather suddenly turns bad.

Map case designed by someone knowledgeable about the subject. Carefully made from high-quality materials. When folded, it fits into a cargo pocket, and when unfolded, it holds a map of a large area at a scale of 1:50000. I recommend the product and the Militaria.pl store.
-
Very nice map case, fits perfectly in a backpack even when unfolded, solidly made, but it's Helikon so quality is always the top priority. I can definitely recommend it.
-
A useful item. Besides a map, you can also have things like radio communication templates or other useful information. I haven't seen anything similar from other manufacturers.
-
The map case is solidly made and nicely sized. I use it together with the admin pouch. It has already proven itself in rain and drizzle. When folded, it fits well into a pocket. It's also good that there's a place to store a compass or a flashlight. I recommend this product.
-
Made of durable material, the map case is equipped with a waterproof compartment for the map with a zipper, allowing it to be used in various weather conditions. Additional pockets make it easy to store a compass, notebook, and pencil. Its small size and low weight allow you to keep it even in the side pocket of pants or a sweatshirt.
-
Overall, it’s a very well-made and thoughtfully designed map case, worth recommending. It holds everything you need for basic map navigation, but it lacks attachment to MOLLE for a vest—then it would get 5 stars.
