The pants are great, they work both at the shooting range and in the garden. There is just one "but": a high polyester content, as much as 22%, makes the body not breathe on warm and hot days. Other than that, no complaints.
Helikon-Tex UTP PolyCotton Rip-Stop Pants - Taiga Green
Designed for modern urban environments, UTP (Urban Tactical Pants) are crafted from premium PolyCotton RipStop fabric, enhanced with a hint of elastane (60% cotton, 37% polyester, 3% elastane). This combination provides outstanding resistance to abrasion and tearing, while remaining lighter and quicker to dry compared to materials made from 100% cotton. Featuring numerous well-placed pockets, these pants excel in city settings and deliver reliable performance for outdoor adventures as well.
Above-average freedom of movement and durability
A superb blend of military and civilian attire—low-profile appearance combined with the practical features of combat trousers.
Modern, ergonomic cut, reinforced seams, and selected materials deliver exceptional freedom of movement and outstanding durability.
12 capacious pockets
Featuring twelve pockets, the pants offer comprehensive storage solutions:
- Two standard hip pockets reinforced at the edges for added durability,
- Four thigh pockets, including two spacious, zippered compartments and two slimmer ones secured with Velcro closures,
- Four rear pockets comprised of two larger Velcro-fastened ones, each with a slim internal pocket,
- Two concealed pockets near the groin area, ideal for carrying a tactical flashlight or an extra magazine.
Additionally, knee-level internal pockets inside the legs are designed to accommodate protective insert pads.
Easy fit of the pants to the figure
A wide Velcro closure replaces the traditional button, providing up to 6 cm of adjustability. The waistband incorporates an elastic band to enhance adaptability to various body types for a more customized fit.
The two front belt loops located at the lower part are fitted with additional loops designed for attaching accessories such as a carabiner.

Comfortable, incredibly durable and spacious. The Rip-Stop material really works in the field, and in this color, they don't stand out in the city. The pockets are perfectly thought out – everything is at hand.
-
Helikon UTP pants are brilliant tactical pants. They are very comfortable, fit great, and have a fantastic pocket layout. The material is very durable. I recommend them.
-
Very comfortable trousers for everyday wear and various activities. The PolyCotton Rip-Stop material is solid, fits well on the body, and does not easily catch minor damage. The trousers have a comfortable cut, do not pinch, and do not restrict movement even during long walks or work on your knees. The pocket arrangement suits me very well – I have everything quickly at hand, and at the same time, the trousers do not seem too bulky. The Ash Grey color is universal and looks neat both in the city and outdoors. After washing, they did not lose their shape. The only downside is that in high temperatures during summer, they can be a bit too warm.
-
Recommendable trousers, lightweight, well-made, with a large number of pockets whose placement and size are almost perfect, at least in my opinion. How durable they are will become clear over time. For now, after several washes and a few weeks of wearing, there is nothing to complain about.
-
Very comfortable, they allow freedom of movement with little restriction (one size larger than usual was chosen), even when carrying a concealed handgun. The pockets are spacious and easily accessible, which works well both for everyday use and in professional service. After a month of intensive use, they still show good durability.
-
The trousers are comfortable and the size is right, but I have some concerns about the quality – after the first wash I noticed a hole in the leg, so maybe I received a defective product.
-
In my opinion, these are some of the best pants from Helikon-Tex. Useful for everyday wear thanks to their functionality with a large number of pockets and solid workmanship. I recommend them!
-
I could wear them every day. Great pants, extremely comfortable and wonderfully ergonomic. The pockets are useful for everyday use in the city, but at the same time, they are not obviously military in style. The only downside for me is that the legs are too wide for the city, but after a slight narrowing, they are perfect.
-
The pants are fine, the sizes given in the table match reality. Personally, I prefer the Stormstretch model, but these pants have their advantages – thanks to the elastic and Velcro, you don't have to unfasten them. The pockets on the legs are narrow enough to perfectly fit a small smartphone.
-
I have tested a lot of Helikon UTP pants, including shorts – I have nothing to complain about, they are great, and now my brother, who immediately wanted two pairs, will enjoy their quality and comfort. I recommend them.

I have several pairs of Helikon UTP Rip-stop or canvas pants and I'm very satisfied with them. Now my brother envied me these pants and I had to order him two pairs right away. I truly recommend them.
-
The trousers are functional, and thanks to the ripstop fabric, they withstand minor snags well. There are many pockets and all of them are comfortable to use – they easily hold a phone, tools, or keys. The Shadow Grey color doesn't stand out in an urban environment. The included belt allows you to start wearing the trousers immediately after purchase. However, when the pockets are heavily stuffed, the trousers feel significantly heavier. On hot days, they may be a bit too warm, as the material is not very light.
-
The pants are very comfortable, with the standard pocket layout typical for Helikon. They are a bit stretchy, so nothing rubs. A downside is the material, which wears out really quickly—after two weeks, the edges of the pockets are already white. But that's the only drawback.
-
UTP pants in the casual version retain full functionality thanks to the number and arrangement of various pockets. Due to their slightly tapered cut, which fits the silhouette better, but using a more flexible material that does not restrict movement, and the 'blue jeans' color in which they are made, they do not “stand out” and can be easily worn for everyday use in the city. CONS: In warmer days, they might be too hot since the pants are definitely less breathable. The material is more delicate than UTP Canvas and tends to pill or snag, so in my opinion, they are not suitable for typical outdoor use.
