Folding knife designed for everyday carryEDC) featuring a blade with a Spear-Point. The design is the responsibility of the well-known American knifemaker Allen Elishewitz. The blade is made from 154CM stainless steel, which is characterized by high resistance to corrosion and wear. It has undergone treatment using the cryogenic hardening, method, which has allowed it to achieve a hardness of 57-59 HRC. The edge is finished with a flat grind. The blade is finished with Stone Tumbled, giving it a matte effect.

The handle scales are made from anodized aircraft-grade aluminum 6061-T6. The ergonomic shape and texture of the handle ensure a secure grip while working with the tool. The blade is opened using a flipper. The blade is locked with a sliding Plunge Lock. Convenient daily carrying is ensured by a spring steel clip in the tip down position, allowing for easy attachment of the knife to a belt or pocket edge. At the end of the handle, there is a hole that allows for threading a cord. The set includes a fabric case.

The knife, right out of the box, had blade play (after opening, the blade wobbled slightly side to side) and an issue with the detent (when closed, the knife didn't hold the blade firmly; there was a slight movement). I took the knife apart: tightened the detent (it was very loose), and after reassembling, I tightened the pivot carefully – both problems disappeared. The knife is excellently made, looks great, and has the perfect EDC dimensions. The only thing to complain about is the clip, or rather its shape, which makes it difficult to pull the knife out of your pocket... and also the lack of bearings means the mechanism is just okay (it clicks, but... well, there’s a slight issue...). The handle is really nice, ergonomic, not slippery... but it gets scratches very easily... my favorite handle color is green (but that's a matter of taste). The Plunge Lock is fantastic, very practical, and easily accessible with your finger when folding. The blade steel is CPM154, not 154CM as stated by Militaria.pl – reputable sites (in the USA) wrote that there’s apparently a difference between these steels, despite the similar names. The designer is Allen Elishewitz, who has his own workshop and designs and makes premium knives. He’s an experienced marine and professional knife-maker in the tactical sense of the word, hence probably the great design for Hogue. Militaria.pl as usual (I’ve bought various things from them many times) – "A+ with honors."
