The assisted opening makes the knife work basically like an automatic. Very slim and disappears in the pocket. The steel is phenomenal, the best I have ever dealt with, and remains sharp for a very long time with normal use.
Folding pocket knife equipped with a Wharncliffe-style blade crafted from CPM MagnaCut powder steel, finished with a black anti-reflective coating. Designed by renowned American knifemaker Ken Onion.
Integration of CPM MagnaCut steel delivers outstanding abrasion resistance, optimal toughness, and excellent corrosion resistance, while also allowing for easier sharpening compared to other steels of similar hardness.
Deployment is achieved via dual thumb studs or a flipper, enhanced by the spring-assisted Speed-Safe system, which facilitates manual blade opening during the initial phase.
The Leek model includes a sliding blade lock in the closed position, situated at the rear of the handle. Blade security in the open position is ensured with a Liner Lock mechanism. The handle is constructed from lightweight and robust aluminum.
A tip-up/tip-down clip offers the flexibility to carry the knife with the tip either up or down, letting the user customize the carry position.

Kershaw is an American knife brand, founded in 1974 by Pete Kershaw in Oregon, which from the very beginning has focused on the highest quality and practical solutions for hunters, anglers, and everyday users. In 1977, the company was acquired by the Japanese Kai Group, allowing it to combine American innovation with Japanese craftsmanship. In 1998, Kershaw revolutionized the market by introducing the SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism, and in the following years won prestigious Blade Show awards for models such as the Tyrade with Composite Blade technology combining two different types of steel. The brand is also known for its collaboration with renowned knifemakers, including Ken Onion, Ernest Emerson, and Rick Hinderer, which has resulted in iconic models such as the Leek and Cryo.
