The assisted opening makes the knife work basically like an automatic. Very slim and disappears in the pocket. The steel is phenomenal, the best I have ever dealt with, and remains sharp for a very long time with normal use.
Folding pocket knife equipped with a blade featuring a Wharncliffe profile, crafted from premium CPM MagnaCut powder steel and finished with a black anti-reflective coating. The knife is designed by renowned American knifemaker Ken Onion.
Utilization of CPM MagnaCut steel delivers a blade with excellent abrasion resistance, superior impact resistance, and outstanding corrosion resistance. Sharpening remains more straightforward compared to other alloys of similar hardness.
Deployment is facilitated by a dual-sided thumb stud or flipper, with the spring-assisted Speed-Safe mechanism providing manual blade opening only at the initial stage.
The Leek model incorporates a sliding blade lock in the closed position, positioned at the rear of the handle. When deployed, the blade is secured by a Liner Lock. The handle itself is constructed from lightweight yet robust aluminum.
A tip-up/tip-down clip permits carry with the knife tip oriented either upward or downward, allowing users to customize the carry position.

Kershaw is an American knife brand, founded in 1974 by Pete Kershaw in Oregon, which from the very beginning has focused on the highest quality and practical solutions for hunters, anglers, and everyday users. In 1977, the company was acquired by the Japanese Kai Group, allowing it to combine American innovation with Japanese craftsmanship. In 1998, Kershaw revolutionized the market by introducing the SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism, and in the following years won prestigious Blade Show awards for models such as the Tyrade with Composite Blade technology combining two different types of steel. The brand is also known for its collaboration with renowned knifemakers, including Ken Onion, Ernest Emerson, and Rick Hinderer, which has resulted in iconic models such as the Leek and Cryo.
