I bought them with the intention of being prepared for tough situations and I hope I will never have to use them for that purpose. The scissors unfold and fold without any problems, and they seem useful for smaller emergency situations. They are quite heavy, so instead of the original case, I carry them in a pouch. To avoid corrosion, I lubricated them with camellia oil – if it works for Japanese gardening tools made of high-carbon steel, it should also work here.

I received the scissors as a gift, and they work very well. They cut very well through a large variety of materials. They're really quite sharp, and every feature is practical. I recommend them.

I use the Leatherman Raptor Rescue and honestly, it’s one of those multitools that does exactly one thing, but does it perfectly. This is not a classic “all-purpose” multitool, but rather professional rescue shears, and in this role it works great. The biggest advantage is the very sharp and strong construction of the scissors – they have no problem cutting through thick materials, belts, clothing, or plastics. In addition, there’s a belt cutter, a glass breaker, and an oxygen tank wrench, so in emergency situations, everything is at hand and there’s no need to look for separate tools. (militaria.pl) The folding mechanism works smoothly, and when folded, the whole thing becomes compact and comfortable to wear on the belt thanks to the holster. Another plus is the solid workmanship – stainless steel and well-fitted components make you feel that this is gear for years, not a toy. I keep it in my field first aid kit, and it's come in handy many times, once even for cutting through some rope: like a hot knife through butter. Let's not kid ourselves - these are rescue shears with additional features. It's not an EDC, if you want to carry a multitool with you, choose something else! This tool fulfills its purpose in the scenarios it was created for. Once folded, you can easily carry it in your trouser pocket, and the integrated clip makes it even easier. There are cheaper alternatives, but in the end, it's Leatherman quality.

As always, well-made equipment. It helps in everyday work as well as after work. I recommend it to people who value the durability of materials and long-term use.
