DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) represents a traditional British military camouflage pattern with origins dating back to World War II, with its standardized form being introduced in the 1960s. Despite its long history, DPM served as the primary camouflage design for the British Armed Forces until 2016 and continues to be worn by certain units and cadet groups today. Distinguished by its large, irregular patches in various shades of green, brown, beige, and black, this camouflage effectively breaks up the wearer’s outline and offers excellent concealment in forested terrains and wooded regions typical of temperate climates—particularly during the spring and summer seasons. Over the years, the pattern has undergone subtle refinements, reflected in adjustments to the colors and configurations of the patches.
