I've been playing with this type of fire striker for years. Now it's time to have fun with my grandson. The upcoming summer holidays are a great time to strike the fire striker against flint or your knuckles. It really brings you closer. The striker is forged from high-carbon material and sparks well. Now I just have to figure out how to get cotton or tinder fungus. Without these skills, it will remain a useless gadget. Gathering tinder fungus and cotton is an interesting but somewhat dirty complementary process. Have fun.

Kuta stal węglowa o wysokiej twardości, krzemień i skórzany pokrowiec w zestawie
Forged from hardened carbon steel with a 57 HRC rating, the fire steel boasts exceptional durability, making it suitable for prolonged use. The set comes equipped with a flint for efficient spark generation and a leather pouch for convenient transport.
Directions for use
Fire steel serves as an essential tool for igniting fires by using flint and tinder—an easily combustible substance that catches sparks effectively. To use, strike the fire steel against the supplied flint. Place tinder, such as charred cotton or similar spark-catching material, on the edge of the flint. Striking the steel generates sparks, which land on the tinder and begin to smolder from the heat. Gently blow the ignited tinder into a dry medium like grass, plant fibers, or wood shavings, and continue to blow on the embers to produce an open flame.

The flint is small, but it makes sparks; you just need to wipe off the grease. The flintstone is tiny, like a fingernail, not as big as in the picture, so you'll have to find your own.
