Pentagon Thunder poncho - Greek Lizard

Designed to offer protection against heavy rain, the Greek Lizard rain poncho features a loose and roomy design, making it easy to wear over any clothing or headgear, even when carrying a bug out bag or additional equipment.

Constructed from 210D polyester, the poncho offers excellent resistance to wear and abrasion, all while being lightweight. A PU coating enhances the fabric’s ability to repel moisture. Reinforced with Rip-Stop fibers, the material delivers increased durability. The fabric provides waterproofness of 3000 mm/m2 and breathability of 1500 g/m2/24h.

Folding down to a compact size, the poncho offers a much lighter alternative to typical rain jackets. Drawstrings in the hood and around the waist enable a customized fit to the wearer.

Greek Lizard serves as the primary camouflage pattern utilized by the Greek Armed Forces and originates from the French Lizard pattern (Tap47), which was widely implemented in the mid-20th century. Modified and refined for the unique geography and climate of Greece—predominantly characterized by mountainous, rocky regions with sparse vegetation—the Greek version delivers optimal concealment. The Greek Lizard pattern features horizontal, uneven stripes in varying tones of olive green, brown, and black, laid over a lighter base, typically sand or pale green. Maintaining the recognizable striped formation of the French predecessor, its color palette is specifically designed for Mediterranean landscapes. For decades, Greek Lizard has been the standard pattern for Greek field uniforms and continues to be widely used today, particularly among ground forces.
