Pulsar Telos XL50 Thermal Imaging Monocular

Designed for effortless observation in all lighting conditions, the handheld thermal imaging monocular is equipped with a 50 mm objective lens. The Telos XL50 offers an optical magnification range from 2.5x to 20x. Enhanced by the Zoom Boost feature and a 12x digital zoom, the magnification can be smoothly adjusted from 2.5x to 30x, making it possible to detect objects at distances of up to 2300 meters. A rugged, fully-sealed housing provides dependable IPX7 water resistance.

Durable construction, IPX7 standard

Constructed from plastic that withstands mechanical impacts and shocks, the thermal imaging monocular offers reliable durability. Featuring a compact form and integrated seals, the housing achieves an IPX7 waterproof certification, safeguarding the device against water ingress at depths of up to 1 m for a duration of 30 minutes. Operational temperature parameters for the thermal imaging monocular span from -25 to +50 degrees.

Amoled HD display

The Telos XL50 thermal imaging monocular features a sensor with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (12 µm). Thanks to the sensor's sensitivity, temperature differences below 40mK can be detected. An AMOLED HD display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution is implemented, offering high contrast for enhanced color accuracy, energy efficiency, quick response times, and smooth image rendering during use—even in low temperatures. With a 50 Hz refresh rate, observing moving targets remains comfortable and seamless. The device offers 2.5–20x magnification and 12x digital zoom, while digital image stabilization provides steady and accurate viewing, even at elevated zoom settings.

Smoothing filter, Picture in Picture mode

Smoothing filter technology enables effective minimization of digital distortion while preserving maximum sensitivity. Utilizing Picture in Picture mode, the central area of the image can be magnified within a dedicated on-screen window, which occupies merely 10% of the total display space. To enhance user experience, the thermal imaging monocular features a diopter adjustment range from -5 to +5.

8 image display modes

Equipped with eight distinct image display modes, the thermal imaging monocular ensures effective identification and recognition of targets during observation:

  • White Hot mode enhances object detection capabilities.
  • Black Hot mode offers superior detection of objects.
  • Hot Red mode supports precise object detection.
  • RedMonochrome mode is designed for extended night-time surveillance.
  • Rainbow mode enables advanced recognition and identification.
  • Ultramarine mode is optimal for identification and recognition tasks.
  • Violet mode is suited for prolonged nocturnal monitoring.
  • Sepia mode enhances observation during long night operations.

Wi-Fi module, 64 GB internal memory

Equipped with the capability to store photos and videos on 64 GB of internal memory, the model ensures convenient data management. Files can be transferred to a computer via a USB cable or sent directly to a smartphone or tablet through the integrated Wi-Fi module. Utilizing the StreamVision 2 app, a phone can serve as an external display or as a remote control for the device.

Battery power supply

Equipped with a replaceable lithium-ion battery LPS 7i featuring a 6400 mAh capacity, the thermal imaging monocular delivers up to 8 hours of continuous use. A rapid charging system and USB-C power supply are also provided. Energy efficiency is enhanced with the Display OFF power-saving mode, which permits the display to be switched off independently, without shutting down the thermal imager.

Pulsar

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Pulsar.

Pulsar, part of the European Yukon Group, is a brand of thermal imaging and day/night digital optics based in Lithuania. It was founded in 1991 by a group of enthusiasts who assembled their first devices in a basement, and today employs over 1200 people and operates in more than 70 countries. All Pulsar products are manufactured in Europe, and the brand has become famous for innovations such as digital sights with a one-shot zero function for quick zeroing, and Dual-Purpose solutions that combine the functions of a monocular and a sight. Its modernity is also emphasized by the Stream Vision 2 app, which allows devices to be connected to smartphones via Wi-Fi for remote control, image transfer, and software updates. In 2005, Yukon Group was the first company to introduce digital night vision sights to the civilian market, initiating a new era of accessible optoelectronics. In 2012, the first mass-produced thermal imaging monocular for civilians, the Quantum, was released, followed in 2019 by the compact Axion XM30, capable of detecting a human silhouette from a distance of 1350 meters in complete darkness.
