Forged from D2 steel, the blade offers exceptional abrasion resistance and maintains its sharp edge for an extended period. Thanks to its elevated carbon and chromium composition, the blade delivers outstanding durability against wear.

Featuring a blade with a Drop-Point profile, engineered to ensure exceptional tip durability. The design proves highly effective for outdoor and EDC tasks, delivering an ideal mix of superior piercing capability and precise blade control. Aggressive Jimping along the spine enhances thumb grip and offers better handling during cutting operations.

The Evolution Ironclad comes equipped with a Flat Grind, which boosts damage resistance. Employing the Blackwash finish, the blade benefits from reduced glare and a low-reflection, matte look.

Handle made of G10 laminate, spring clip

The ergonomically shaped handle scale is crafted from black G10 laminate, highly resistant to mechanical wear. Featuring a spring-loaded steel clip in a tip-up configuration, the knife can be easily secured to a belt or the edge of a pocket. Clip placement is on the right side.

thumb stud, Frame Lock

Featuring a double-sided thumb stud on the blade, the knife can be easily deployed with either hand. The open blade is locked securely in place by a Frame Lock, which incorporates an ergonomic push-button to shift the frame and facilitate fast, one-handed operation — even with gloves on. For enhanced user safety, an additional sliding lock prevents unintentional blade deployment or closure during transport and use.

D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Blackwash feature
Blackwash
Blackwash is a finish that combines oxidation (graphite-black shade of steel) with the Stonewash technique. The blade is first coated with black and then treated in a drum with abrasive. This creates an aging effect - a dark background with lighter abrasions and micro-scratches. This gives the knife a raw, “used” look, masks scratches well, reduces light reflections, and works well in tactical knives. Thanks to its combination of practicality and aesthetics, Blackwash is popular in EDC, outdoor, and combat knives.

    Finally a decent, large knife and not some puny pocketknife with a 6 or 7 cm blade. Great design, great workmanship, everything fits perfectly, no looseness, high quality materials. And I confirm the opinion of the previous reviewer that this time the recently prevailing monotony among knife designs has been overcome.
