Forged from D2 steel, the blade boasts outstanding wear resistance and remarkable edge retention. The high carbon and chromium composition ensures superior durability against abrasion.

Drop-Point blade profile, flat grind, Stonewash finish

Equipped with a Drop-Point blade profile, the design prioritizes exceptional tip strength. Ideal for outdoor and EDC tasks, this shape delivers superior piercing performance combined with excellent control during use. Along the spine, strategic jimping (grooves) ensures a stable thumb grip, enhancing cutting precision and control.

The Evolution Ironclad is built with a Flat Grind, boosting durability and edge resilience. A Stonewash finish minimizes reflective shine while imparting a rugged, matte appearance.

G10 laminate handle, spring clip

The ergonomically contoured handle scales are crafted from highly durable G10 laminate in a brown finish. A resilient steel clip in the tip-up orientation ensures secure and convenient daily carry, allowing the knife to be easily fastened to a belt or the edge of a pocket. The clip is positioned on the right side.

thumb stud, Frame Lock

Equipped with a double-sided thumb stud, the blade can be effortlessly deployed using the thumb, ensuring smooth and ambidextrous opening for both right- and left-handed users. A Frame Lock mechanism, featuring an ergonomic button, enables the frame to be shifted aside quickly, permitting swift and reliable one-handed opening and closing—even while wearing gloves. For added safety, a sliding secondary lock safeguards against accidental blade deployment or closure, providing superior security during both transport and operation.

D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.

G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.

Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads.     Finally a decent, large knife and not some puny pocketknife with a 6 or 7 cm blade. Great design, great workmanship, everything fits perfectly, no looseness, high quality materials. And I confirm the opinion of the previous reviewer that this time the recently prevailing monotony among knife designs has been overcome.
