Schrade Ventricle Folding Knife - Silver
A folding knife designed for everyday carry (EDC). The Drop-Point blade is made of Japanese AUS-10 stainless steel, which is highly resistant to wear and tear. The smooth blade features a hollow grind and is coated with a gray titanium coating. The gray handle is made of aluminum. The knife opens via a flipper, and the Frame Lock ensures safe use.
Japanese AUS-10 steel
The blade is made of Japanese AUS-10 steel, which is used in utility knives. It is characterized by good corrosion resistance and is relatively easy to sharpen. It offers a good balance of wear resistance and edge retention while maintaining good toughness.
drop point blade
The blade, with a Drop-Point profile, is 76 mm long and 2.8 mm thick. It features a smooth cutting edge achieved through a hollow grind. The blade is coated with a gray titanium coating, which increases resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and scratches, reduces friction, and provides a metallic finish. The spine of the blade, where the thumb rests, features jimping, which improves control of the tool during use.
skeletonised aluminium handle
The handle features a skeletal design, which significantly reduces the weight of the entire structure. The ergonomically contoured scales are made of lightweight aluminum.
frame lock, opening with a flipper
A durable Frame Lock is responsible for locking the blade in place. The knife is opened manually using a flipper, which also serves as a cross guard, and the smooth deployment of the blade is facilitated by the Ultra Glide mechanism, which is based on ball bearings.
Comfortable everyday carry is ensured by a spring-loaded steel clip that allows the knife to be easily attached to a belt or the edge of a pocket. At the end of the handle is a hole for threading a lanyard.

Titanium Nitride (TiN, TiNite, TiNi) is an exceptionally hard and chemically inert coating made of titanium and nitrogen, applied using PVD or CVD methods. It increases the blade's resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and scratches, reduces friction, and gives it an attractive metallic finish. PVD technology is most commonly used in knives, as it does not affect the properties of the core, but only extends the durability of the surface.
