Top quality product. The knife gives a premium feel right out of the box. It arrives well-sharpened, you could shave with it. It's carefully made and well-ground. It feels fantastic in the hand. At first glance, it might seem that the micarta scales could be more contoured, but in the hand, the knife sits perfectly. Both in a lower grip, where the fingers rest well and the handle doesn't want to slip, and in an upper grip, the knife remains very stable and secure. Working with the Templar is a pleasure. The blade itself is even and maintains all the lines. Similarly, the entire knife has a well-thought-out profile, with the middle part flat and the back gently referencing a drop point profile in the upper line. The cutting edge is parallel to the surface and passes into a solid "belly." The Kydex sheath is just as solid, and together with the knife the whole thing feels more compact than the 11 cm blade would suggest, super! Also, both the sheath and the knife lack that crude, "military" character of all those bayonets and daggers, which is also a plus. I won't comment on the steel, as I'm not a metallurgist.
