The Clip-Point blade is forged from CRYO D2 tool steel, renowned for its exceptional resistance to dulling and mechanical wear. Featuring a flat grind, the blade is hardened to 58-60 HRC and sports a Stonewash finish. The steel is heat-treated following SOG’s proprietary low-temperature protocols for optimal performance.
Deployment is achieved by a thumb stud or flipper, while jimping along the spine provides a secure thumb rest during use. The robust XR Lock mechanism guards against accidental closure.
Ergonomic handle features textured G10 laminate scales, ensuring a reliable, firm grip in all situations. Carry options are enhanced with a reversible, steel pocket clip, allowing attachment on either side for left or right-handed users.

The knife is great. Good steel, well made, no play, relatively low weight. Excellent EDC knife. The lock is also a big plus. It also doesn't seem like it would open in your pocket—once I badly cut my hand that way. I’m taking off a star for the product not matching the listing, because it came with a different clip (long, thin, and without the SOG logo), but I decided this one could work too.

It is amazing! I’ve been thinking about getting a handy folder with good steel and assisted opening for a long time. I went for this SOG because of the crimson handles, D2 steel, and size. But I didn’t expect it to be so cool in real life! Opening it is so incredibly easy that you can forget about studs, flippers, even wrist flicks—this little guy opens and closes by gravity. It’s factory sharp, so be careful with your fingers while "clicking." The knife is light, handy, and comfortable in a pocket. I recommend it.
