Stoirm Tactical Softshell Gen2 Jacket - Black

Black jacket that is the modernised successor to the Tactical Softshell model. A lightweight and warm outer layer designed for field work, professional use and everyday wear in changing weather conditions.

It combines rain protection rated at 10 000 mm/m2 with breathability of 10 000 g/m2/24 h and fabric flexibility. The well-thought-out fit does not restrict range of motion, and numerous pockets allow you to conveniently carry basic equipment.

The jacket is made from durable Rip-Stop fabric with a structure that increases resistance to intensive use. The reinforced weave reduces the risk of tears forming and slows their expansion in the event of mechanical damage to the fabric. The material contains an elastane blend, which improves its fit to the body and increases freedom of movement.

The model has a fleece finish on the inside, which improves wearing comfort and provides an additional insulating layer. The soft structure helps reduce heat loss in cooler conditions. The fleece layer also increases comfort when wearing the jacket directly over a T-shirt or a thin thermal base layer.

The outer layer is coated with a hydrophobic PFC-free DWR coating. It reduces water absorption and helps droplets run off the fabric surface. The hydrophobic finish makes dirt less likely to stick and makes the jacket easier to keep clean.

The jacket provides waterproof protection rated at 10 000 mm/m2, confirmed by a test compliant with EN ISO 811. This parameter provides protection against precipitation encountered during everyday use and outdoor activities.

Breathability of the material is 10 000 g/m2/24 h, in accordance with the JIS L1099 B1 test. This helps wick away water vapour generated during exertion, reducing the feeling of excessive heat build-up inside the jacket.

The model is equipped with a set of 6 pockets located on the body, chest and sleeves:

• 2 lower side pockets with zippers and soft fleece lining
• 1 chest pocket closed with a zipper
• 1 internal zippered pocket with a bright zipper pull
• 2 pockets on both sleeves with zippers

The lower pockets can be used for warming your hands, while also providing space for basic accessories. The soft lining increases comfort in cooler conditions. Sleeve pockets are positioned high, so they can be accessed without removing a backpack or belt.

The chest pocket provides quick access to small items such as documents, a phone, a flashlight or other handy equipment. The internal pocket allows you to safely store items that require extra protection.

The jacket is fastened with a SBS two-way zipper. This design allows the jacket to be unzipped from the top or bottom, which makes it easier to regulate ventilation, access equipment worn underneath and use the jacket comfortably while seated. The main zipper is covered with a strip that limits the penetration of wind and moisture.

Long ventilation zippers are placed on the sides. They allow you to quickly increase airflow and release excess heat during intense activity. Their position makes it possible to regulate temperature without having to fully unzip the jacket.

The hood has a profiled, slightly stiffened visor, which increases protection of the face from rain and limits incoming wind. The hood construction is fitted to the head, and side and rear adjustments allow its volume to be reduced and stability during movement to be improved.

The hood can be detached when it is not needed. After detaching it, the jacket retains a minimalist form with a high collar protecting the neck.

Velcro panels are located on the outer side of both sleeves. They allow patches, emblems, unit markings, identifiers or other elements personalising the jacket to be attached. The lower edge of the jacket features adjustment with an elastic drawstring and stopper. This allows the circumference to be fitted to the body and helps limit wind getting in from below.

The cuffs can be adjusted using wide velcro fastenings. This allows the sleeve circumference to be fitted to the wrist, gloves or an additional clothing layer. On the inside, elastic knit cuffs with thumb holes have been used. They stabilise the sleeves during movement, limit them riding up and provide extra protection for the wrists.
