As a repellent, it works very well—no worse than DEET or Icaridin-based repellents. I removed one star due to the following issues: - Non-replaceable battery and no way to turn it off. Once you activate the device, it works "until it dies" (which is over half a year). Then you have to throw it away. - Sensitivity to water. My previous unit didn't survive a heavy rain. If you're making a sealed device, it could be made waterproof. - If many people use this device at the same time in an area and it runs non-stop, after a few days some people start to complain about sleep problems, irritability, etc. This could result from prolonged exposure to multiple ultrasonic sources. Safety studies have not considered such situations, so it's unclear if this really happens, if it's a nocebo effect, or merely a coincidence. In these cases, it would also be useful to have the option to turn the devices off.
TickLess Military Ultrasonic Tick Repeller - for humans - Brown
TickLess - ultrasonic tick repeller is a compact and portable device that generates ultrasound at 40 kHz, a frequency undetectable by humans and animals, designed to reliably ward off ticks. The emitted ultrasonic waves disrupt the sensory organs of ticks, impeding their ability to orient themselves and locate hosts. As a result, ticks are unable to identify and approach potential targets. Ideal for excursions into forests, gardening, fishing trips, camping, bushcraft outings, and any outdoor adventure where exposure to ticks is a concern, the repeller is an essential tool for preventing bites. Ticks are known vectors of severe human illnesses, including Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. Utilizing TickLess significantly reduces your likelihood of being bitten, lowering the chance of infection and subsequent serious health issues. The Military version features camouflage-inspired colors that integrate seamlessly with tactical and outdoor gear.
NOTE: Despite the high effectiveness of the device, occasional ticks may still land on clothing or skin. The ultrasonic signal, however, continues to reduce the probability of the tick proceeding to the attachment stage.
Operating range, IP13 rating
Ticks utilize the Haller organ found on the first pair of legs to detect potential hosts. The ultrasound generated by the device effectively interferes with the ability of ticks to perceive signals through this sensory organ. With an operational range of approximately 2 meters, the device offers reliable protection. For optimal performance, position the TickLess device on the outermost layer of clothing, allowing unobstructed propagation of ultrasonic waves. The compact design enables secure attachment to a backpack, belt, or other items of apparel.
Constructed from robust plastic, the device is moisture resistant in compliance with the IP13 standard; however, avoid exposing the unit to direct contact with water.
Safety and environmental protection
TickLess is environmentally safe, produces no chemicals, and offers effortless operation. The device poses no risk to pregnant women, young children, individuals with pacemakers, or seniors, providing an outstanding substitute for chemical repellents that may trigger allergic reactions in some instances.
Device operation
Initiation is straightforward—just remove the safety tab. Once this step is completed, the device remains fully operational for a minimum of 6 months, functioning until the battery is exhausted. A control LED confirms functionality, emitting a blink each time the test button is engaged.

At first, I was skeptical of this device, unconvinced and a bit cautious. Likely because I often go to the forest and even with various products and repellents, I always brought back a few ticks “embedded” in my skin. Now I don’t have this problem anymore. I always take it with me out in the field. Of course, I don't let my guard down, and I always check myself when I get back. But Tickless has given me peace of mind, because it truly works. For me, it’s great.

I used it and had no ticks, so I hope it works. As for the "sounds" it makes, in my opinion they’re barely audible and you have to put the device to your ear to hear them.

A great gadget for rural trips and walks in the woods – TickLess Human Green protects with ultrasound (~2m range), no chemicals, works for a long time (3000h). Lightweight and really cool!
-
The device works discreetly, easy to carry. In my case, I noticed fewer ticks after walks. It doesn't guarantee 100% protection, but it brings peace of mind.

I spend a few hours a day in the forest and, so far, I haven't brought any ticks home. Before, I would get one from time to time, so I guess it works. Sometimes I carry it in a side pocket because I’m afraid it could slip off my belt and I’d lose it. Unfortunately, during work, I sometimes turn it off by accident, so I have to check it from time to time. In general, I am satisfied so far.

An ultrasonic device that works effectively. Small, handy, and doesn’t make noise. The biggest advantage is that there are no chemicals. However, remember that any repellent isn't a magic wand and if you go somewhere swarming with ticks, you might still catch something. I recommend the product and the store Militaria.pl.

I spend a lot of time in the forest and so far I haven’t noticed any ticks on my clothes or body, so I guess it really works. Definitely worthy of a recommendation.

My wife and I have been using this device for two years and in that time no ticks have attached to us, and we're outdoors almost every day. So far my wife had Lyme disease six times, fortunately always detected early. As botanists, we know many people with tick problems, but it was rarely the case that someone brought home more than 2-3 ticks. And the dozen or so mentioned in a previous review is sheer fantasy.

It seems that the device works. I bought it for my wife, who used to bring home ticks from every trip to the forest/park, etc. Throughout the whole season wearing Tickless she didn’t catch any ticks. The device still works nearly a year after being activated.
-
I give it one star only because you can’t give zero, and I honestly envy everyone for whom this device worked. In my case—two walks with TickLess on my belt and each time I brought home around a dozen ticks. You could say only a dozen because I removed the rest on the go as I spotted them earlier. I returned the product, hats off to Militaria.pl for quick and positive handling of the complaint.

A product worth its price. As always, products from this manufacturer are of the highest quality and there’s nothing to complain about. I’ve been using them for two years and haven't had a single tick attached to my body. My dogs also have the version for animals on their collars and also haven’t brought any ticks home from walks. Now you can safely roam the forest.
