TickLess - ultrasonic tick repeller is a compact and practical device that generates 40 kHz ultrasound, which is undetectable to both humans and animals, offering an effective solution for repelling ticks. Ultrasonic waves disrupt ticks’ ability to locate and follow hosts by blocking their sensory receptors, making it difficult for them to identify potential prey in their environment. The repeller proves highly effective during forest outings, time spent at the allotment, fishing trips, camping, bushcraft adventures, and any outdoor activities where exposure to ticks is possible. Ticks transmit serious diseases such as Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. Using TickLess significantly lowers the risk of tick bites, thereby reducing the chance of infection and serious illness.
NOTE: Despite efficient and correct use of the device, a tick might still accidentally come into contact with skin or clothing. Nevertheless, the ultrasonic signal produced by the repeller continues to significantly reduce the likelihood of the tick proceeding to the attachment stage.
Ticks rely on the Haller organ, located on the first leg, to detect prey. The ultrasound generated by the device disrupts the ticks’ ability to sense stimuli through this specialized organ. With an effective range of approximately 2 meters, the device delivers reliable protection. For optimal dispersion of ultrasonic waves, the TickLess unit should be attached to the outer layer of clothing. Attaching the device to a backpack, belt, or other clothing item is quick and convenient.
Engineered to be moisture-resistant in accordance with the IP13 rating, the device should be protected from direct water exposure to maintain optimal functionality.
TickLess Eco poses no threat to the natural environment, does not release any chemicals, and offers easy usability. Safe for pregnant women, young children, pacemaker users, and seniors, TickLess Eco stands out as an excellent substitute for chemical repellents that could potentially trigger allergic reactions. Constructed from biodegradable plastic, the device can be dismantled once depleted; simply separate the casing from the remaining components. The casing may be placed in a compost bin or buried in the ground—thanks to its composition, it will break down naturally within a few months.
To activate the device, remove the pin to enable operation and press the button. Four flashes from the green LED confirm that TickLess is powered on and functioning. While in use, a single green LED will blink every 5 minutes to signal ongoing operation. Automatic shut-off occurs after 8 hours, or the device may be manually powered down via the button—confirmed by a single long red LED flash. Operating time reaches approximately 3000 hours.
