TickLess - ultrasonic tick repeller is a compact and portable device emitting 40 kHz ultrasound that cannot be heard by humans or animals, crafted to efficiently deter ticks. The ultrasonic pulses disrupt the tick’s ability to orient and track hosts by blocking their sensory receptors, rendering them unable to differentiate between prey and their environment. Ideal for forest adventures, allotment activities, fishing trips, camping, bushcraft outings, and any other outdoor pursuits where the risk of tick bites exists. Ticks can transmit dangerous illnesses to humans, including Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. Deploying TickLess significantly reduces the likelihood of being bitten, thus lowering the chances of infection and severe illness. The Military variant is available in camouflage-inspired colors, ensuring seamless integration with tactical gear and outdoor apparel.
NOTE: Although proper use of the repellent greatly reduces risk, a tick may still occasionally land on clothing or skin. The emitted signal, however, continues to decrease the likelihood that the tick will remain and attach itself.
Ticks rely on the Haller organ located on their first pair of legs to detect hosts. Ultrasound signals emitted by the device disrupt the tick’s ability to register sensory input from this organ. With an effective operational range of approximately 2 meters, comprehensive protection is delivered. For optimal performance, the TickLess device must be attached to an outer layer of clothing, allowing unobstructed transmission of ultrasonic waves. It can be securely fastened to a backpack, belt, or other apparel.
Constructed from robust plastic, the device offers resistance to moisture in line with the IP13 standard; however, direct exposure to water should still be avoided.
TickLess poses no threat to the environment, produces no chemical emissions, and offers user-friendly operation. The device is entirely safe for pregnant women, infants, individuals with pacemakers, and seniors, positioning it as an ideal substitute for chemical repellents, which may sometimes trigger allergic reactions.
Activation requires the removal of the safety tab. Once detached, operation is ensured for a minimum of 6 months until battery depletion. A control LED verifies functionality by flashing whenever the test button is engaged.
